what? by
WildJim
What caused the accident at OSH? I heard the front plane, which had a slower
stall, touched down
first instead of second.

Thanks! by
Lloyd Herod, Jr
Hi Pam;
Wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your company at BLT Saturday
night. I'm glad you enjoyed the show.
It was an interesting play, loved the costumes, and thought the casting
was great. Those times certainly seem to be much different than today.

TKM Pirep - two years later by
Eugene Wendland
Hi All
Two years ago I replaced my aging Narco Com 120 with a TKM MX-11R slide in
replacement radio and thought I'd give a performance update.
#1 Installation: This is a true slide in replacement. Remove old one and
install new one and you're good to go. Simple (for me). I've heard...

oil pressure problem by
Dick[_1_]
I'd like some advice where the problem is no reading on the gauge ( and can
use a Volt-ohm-meter if have to).
It is a three wire Electric gauge and a bell shaped sensor with the lead
attached at the top. Although upon sensor removal, there was oil pressure
(squirting G).
Could I check for...

Rutan Rontz Plywood Flyer by
John Kunkel
Somewhere in my aged memory cells I seem to recall a story about Burt Rutan
and John Rontz collaberating to mount an engine on a sheet of plywood and
tether "flying" it to illustrate that anything will fly with the correct
AOA. I'm not finding any references on the search engines, truth or myth?

Master thesis in General Aviation company? by
Oliver Arend
Hi there,
I know this is not exactly a homebuilt question, but I guess
homebuilders know the "regular" market a lot better than the regular
people know the homebuilt market.
Anyways, I'm an aerospace engineering student, soon to be engineer,
and I would like to do my master thesis...

Experimental FAA Cetification by
fred D
Bought a built experimental powered glider and All I have is a bill of
sale from an individual who is not the builder and does not know who
he was. No data plate, plans or other documentation with kit number.
Is there anyway to satisfy the FAA's chain of ownership requirements ?
It only needs a...

Chugger's Projects by
[email protected]
To All:
As explained in the Introduction to the Chuggers-Alt Group (and in the
original chuggers Group), the contents of the Files Archive reflect
experiments using inexpensive materials obtained locally, most from
the typical 'box store' such as Home Depot or Lowes. The purpose of
the...

Need some electrical engineering help by
Martin
I need to design a device to help "cushion" the engagement of my starter.
The starter is 28VDC (drawing up to 500 Amps) on a T58-GE-3 turbine engine
installed in a non-aircraft application. I'm told this "starter slamming" is
a 'weak link' on this engine and often causes starter failure.

Slightly OT Fiberglass over foam problem by
Dave Lyon
Hey guys, I've been lurking around here for quite a while to get an
education. I'm building a project that could use a little expert guidance.
I am making a paintball tank. Not the type that you put air in, but the type
that you put people in. :) This is my 2nd tank. I used plywood for the skin
of...
