I have a 1975 Cessna 150 Aerobat. I want to replace the standard 26 gal (13 per side) fuel tanks with the optional 38 gal (19 per side) long range fuel tanks. Can anyone tell me where I can have this done and the approximate cost.

Chrome plating rocker covers by rip
A few chromium flakes in your oil, and you can kiss that engine goodbye. Peter wrote: Hi All, After just two years from new, the paint has mostly come off the Lycoming IO-540 rocker covers, and I have taken the opportunity of an annual to get them chrome plated.

Aerospace Logic Fuel Gauge by Scott G.
Does anyone have any information whether Aerospace Logic's Fuel Gauge is a primary gauge replacement, or if the original fuel gauge would still need to be kept in the airplane? Application would be a Cessna 206. Thank you, Scott G

New law for older airplanes? by Jim B
How will the newly proposed law regarding the very detailed inspections of planes older than 25 years affect our flying? It seems that having to tear them down to that extent and perform those inspections on the spars on the wings and the tail surfaces is going to be very expensive. Also having to...

wasp nest in aileron by tony roberts
At this time of year the wasps start a nest in my ailerons a couple of times each week. I'm allergic to wasps so each time that I go out to the airport I look for the newly started nests and spray them with Raid flying insect killer. Obviously to do this involves spraying the insect killer inside...

Hello: I always had the goal and the illusion of flying on my own, now I have the means to do it... so I have three questions: a) What will be the best choice of airplane, for a firt timmer like myself, considering, price range, flying range and easiness to learn and fly? b) Used or new?

ADF Problem by tony roberts
Hi Today I was flying north and my ADF was tuned to an NDB. The needle pointed at 330 degrees (or 11 O'clock) until I reached the NDB, and then it swung until it pointed behind. I dialed up the next NDB and it pointed at 330 again until passage. And I dialed up another NDB - same indication - all...

IOF 240 Engine-Would it run if the batteries fail? by Piperflyer
Liberty XL2 has the Continetal IOF 240 with FADEC. Would the engine run if the batteries failed? It does not have a magneto. Would the ignition system run off of the alternator? The salesman at Sun-n-fun had no clue. Does anyone know?
