Panel paint for a Piper Tomahawk by
Baha
I need to paint my Tomahawk's panel (metal not plastic unlike my
Warrior) and change the screws. I know that there will be some sending
involved but I would like to find out what kind of paint to use.
Thanks,

Baha
I have been dealing with this Canadian paint shop up in PittMeadows, BC
for about 4 months now. They took my airplane (A Piper Tomahawk) in
February to paint and put the interior plastics and carpeting that I
provided them (worth about $1000).
Since then the delivery time gt pushed back more than...

Replacement nose wheel pant for 1971 172 by
[email protected]
My nose wheel pant is damaged. A body shop quoted me around $450 to
fix & paint it, and new ones from Cessna are over $1k. Used are
available on E-Bay for much less, and they all seem to say the same
thing - "should fit any 172 & 182, but do your own research". The
parts manager at my FBO said it...

Does part 91 apply outside the USA? by
Barry
Now let's take 91.175. The USA mandates the use of a published IAP.
The UK does not. 91.1 says p91 does not apply outside the USA. Does
this mean one can fly an unpublished IAP in the UK?
I don't see anything in 91.1 saying that it does not apply outside the US.
It says that it does...

Leasing Privately Owned Aircraft by
Bartscher
In the long term, I'm planning on getting into a partnership on a single engine
plane capable of carriyng 4 adults + luggage for a 500 mile trip. Before I get
all the way into a partial ownership situation, I'd really like to spend some
time flying some of the potential aircraft I'm interested in,...

Aircraft Tugs by
[email protected]
I recently became a first time aircraft owner and I'm quickly realizing
that with the uneven pavement on the ramp to my hanger, and the 2600lb
empty weight of the plane, I'm going to have to resign to getting some
form of aircraft tug.
Looking at the Sporty's catalog, there are two types listed,...

Cessna's next piston single by
[email protected]
Has anyone heard any more details about what Cessna is doing for their
new piston single? Last I heard, they had confirmed that there is a new
plane in the works, but there weren't any details on what it is. I'm
guessing they will be showing something at Oshkosh this year.
My speculation (which is...

Does anyone have recent experience getting a Garmin 300XL GPS/COM

430 and the 300 when it comes to the total cost of the installation.
This will initially be a VFR only installation, but I want the GPS to
be IFR capable so that...

Price Drop on Garmin 396 - $2195 by
[email protected]
Just went in to the avionics shop today to check on the installation
work they are doing (SL-40 COM, PS-4000 intercom/panel, & G396 wired to
both). Turns out that Garmin just cut the price $300 on the 396 so its
now at $2195.
Anyway, if anyone has been out there waiting, looks like Garmin...
