Is there a FAA Manual for Heli flight examiners? gps required? by
Eric D
GPS: If a piece of equipment is installed in the machine that will
be used in a checkride the PIC must know its functionality and be able
to demonstrate its use. For a private checkride there's no requirement
to know GPS use unless its installed and not marked inop before the
ride....

Do I own my airspace? by
Chief McGee
OK, here is the situation: Building an ultralight helicopter. If it comes
out to weight more than 254, can I legally fly it above my own land. I have
10 acres in the country, no ARSA, no controlled air space, no license. Can
the FAA tell me I can not hover it one foot off the ground if I am on...

Ultrasport kit helicopter by
vince
I was hoping that I could get some advice on the Ultrasport Kit
helicopter, in particular on REAL build times for the 331 and 496??. I
have been told that the Rotorway is approximately 800-1000 hours, and
that the ultrasport is far quicker at about 300 hours. I am from the
UK, and there are no...

About a month ago, the fine state of Michigan saw fit to mail out the

registered aircraft, the Michigan airport directory. Thank you very
much, State of Michigan.
And upon receipt of the chart, naturally, I open it up and scan...

NYPDs New 412EP by
Micbloo
http://www.rockawave.com/news/2003/1024/Community/008.html
Interesting that the ship is NOT in the traditional blue/white NYPD colors.
And the N # is N23FH which I believe is dedicated to the 23 NYPD officers
who died on 9/11.
Thus "23 Fallen Heroes".

where can you fly? by
Armitage Shanks
Hi,
Once you're a qualified private pilot, where can you/can't you fly?
For instance, say I spot an interesting cloud formation. Can I just
take off, fly up to it, ascend the vertical walls of the cloud and fly
through its troughs and valleys in exploration of a formation that
will only ever occur...

Mating Huey T/R blades and hub by
Brian
I recently got a Bell 204 tail rotor hub assembly for the pair of
blades I have, but am having difficulty attaching them. Is there some
secret to getting them together? The blades are a REALLY tight fit
into the grips.
Thanks,
Brian
