You can buy a cheap multimeter at radio shack for about 10 bucks. Put it
on continuity and you are good to go. I know it is not as fun as building
it yourself. Just think of it as a kit with one part.

Strange Comm problem. by
John[_9_]
We are currently working on two new turbine aircraft built about 60
serial numbers apart. They have each presented the same problem.
Comm reception on frequency 118.5 deterioates after an hour so and
becomes unreadable when the tower is broadcasting. However, you can
still hear other aircraft...

The old rent vs buy decision.....
His acts are not without an aviation parallel: Eliot's stupid harlot
trick is what happens when one fails to properly make the rent/buy
decision.
Renting at $4500/hour might've looked good on paper compared to what he
could get at home---his $151K...

Airplane Parnerships by
Jon Kraus
What would be some ways to get in touch with someone when looking for a
partner to share in the joys (and sorrows) of aircraft ownership? I am
going to try placing flyers at the local FBO's. I thought about
downloading the Airmans database from the FAA and pulling out all the
pilots with current...

Share Ownership Agreements. by

I am looking at sharing the cost of an aircraft with 3 others.
Does anyone out there have an example agreement or know the location of one
on the net for viewing?

Are there any career instuctors out there? by
Peter Millard
Is is possible to make a living instructing without taking an oath of
poverty?
I would love to instruct full time but the rates seem downright insulting.
The only instuctors I know are either young kids waiting to get on with the
majors, or geezers who drive rusted out Ford Pintos and can't afford...

What was it? by
Jim Burns
Last week I walked up to a couple pilots discussing an airplane that was
sitting on the ramp at STE. They noted that it did not have a data tag on
it so they really weren't sure what it was.
What it looked like was an early straight leg 172 fastback, but it had a
swept tail, not a straight tail. ...

offers high seat limits?

Oil for a new engine? by

A friend of mine just got a new Continental engine for his Cessna
(182RG I think, but don't those have struts? This one doesn't, but it
isn't a Cardinal... I don't know my Cessnas too well... anyways). He
says the factory had it sent with some expensive brand of 5W-30 (or
was 5W-15? something...

WABC this evening in New York had a hatchet piece on the "Security" (or lack

camera pointing out the billions it would cost to fence in and secure all
the small airports in the country. The reporter drove around a number...

3rd row in a 206 by
Shawn
A couple quick questions about the third row seats in a 206. In
pictures, the rear of the fuselage looks to taper down pretty quickly
aft of the trailing edge of the wing.
What kind of vertical and horizontal room is there in the 3rd row?
Are these just child seats, or could smaller adults sit in...
