Cessna 210 charging problem by
John Clonts
I am now able to reproduce my charging problem.
Engine off, Bat and Alt on:
Bus voltage: 24.8
Supply to Voltage Regulator: 22.6
Voltage Regulator Output to Alt Field: 21.6
I'm thinking maybe I should rig a jumper from Bus to the Voltage regulator
to see if the problem has to do with that 2.2v...

Cessna 210 fuel drip by
John Clonts
We have a 78 Centurion which has developed a fuel "drip" underneath,
from some kind of drain tube protruding from under the fuselage on the
left side, about 12-18" behind the nose wheel opening. I am trying to
figure out what this line is coming from or is for. It is not the
fuel strainer...

Cessna 210 power tables by
John Clonts
We have a Cessna 210M with an IO-520L, which is rated for 285hp
continuous, but 300hp for 5 minutes. The cruise power tables show "%
BHP"-- is that percentage of 285, or 300? I would assume 285, but
does anyone know for sure?
Thanks!

Cessna 340 Tie down versus Hangar by
endre
I am thinking about acquiring a 340. However, it is looking a little
difficult to get hangar space around for a while at least. How should
I think about tie down versus hangar in terms of additional
maintenance/risk etc? What experiences do other people have on this
topic? Also what can I do to...

cessna 340 vs 421 by
Bernhard D Rohrer
I am trying to decide between those 2.
I am tempted towards the 340 because of the high ceiling and towards the
421 because of the more space. I am dubious about cabin legroom in the
340. I am 6'2".
cheers

Cessna air vents by
Matt
Hello everyone. It's getting a little chilly around here now; I have seen
the "ventubes" that are being sold for $75 apiece. Has anyone simply taped
over the inlet in the wing root? I was thinking of giving this a try,
seeing that there is no real need for cold air ventilation at this time...

Cessna aircraft with G1000 series avionics by

Considering the purchase of a new (2005, 2006,) C182.
I would prefer not to have the Glass cockpit as I have heard some
fairly strong evidence that the software is still two years behind the
hardware and the system is problematic.
Specifically, I understand that there have been numerous events...

recently to someone who had advertised a Cessna in the San Diego area.

Cessna buys Columbia? by
John[_9_]
I see on AvWeb that Cessna is, at least, in talks to buy some or all
of Columbia Aircraft. Otherwise Columbia is filing for Chapter 11
bankruptcy. (Is that round #2 of Chap. 11?) Apparently Cessna will
accept product liability for the aircraft built so far and some of
Columbia's debt.
I wonder...
