Piper Cub J3P 'Lenape cub' by
Cliff
Hi! I am a modeler and am starting on a 1/4 scale piper cub. I am
going to build the J3P model with the Lenape 3 cylinder radial engine.
Currently have a Saito 3 cylinder engine I am using on the model.
Does anyone know of a J3P anywhere that is flying and I could
photograph?
Thanks!
Cliff

AIRNAV not publishing fuel prices... by
Victor
.... of new FBOs. Apparently they will only publish prices for FBOs
that have a subscription with them. Of course they own the web site so
it is their choice to do whatever they like. But it didn't use to be
this way. Previously AIRNAV would encourage reporting fuel prices on
all airports free of...

Sun N Fun '07 Redux by
Jay Honeck
Mary and I just returned from 6 glorious days at Sun N Fun in
Lakeland, FL, where we enjoyed the most amazingly perfect weather I
have ever seen at such an event. The nights were cool (almost cold
the first few nights) -- perfect for sleeping -- and the days were
sunny and warm. No humidity, no...

New Cessna panel by
C J Campbell
Yesterday I saw the new Cessna Nav III package for the 2004 182s and 206s.
It is a Garmin 1000 system with battery backup (not certified for part 135
IFR, though). At last Cessna enters the 21st century.

Do any of you have experience repairing a slight, but annoying, leak in a
wet wing tank? Mine's on a 1980 182Q.

Which overhauled Lycoming 0-360 A4M Engine To Fit In My Archer ? by
Roy Page
The Lycoming 0-360 A4M in our Archer is now 2250 SMOH and we are intending
to fit an exchange overhauled engine very soon.
The decision to pull the engine out was easy compared with trying to decide
on the engine to buy.
We have a number of quotes and researched factory and field...

Complex / High Performance / Low Performance by
R.T.
Good day all,
After reading some older posts with regards to aircraft purchasing allot of
discussion seems to come up about Complex and High Performance aircraft.
My question is this? Is a 172 RG classified as a Complex aircraft? and a 182
fixed gear classified as a non-complex High...

Radio buzz by
Robert M. Gary
I have an MX170 radio that I use to pick up ATIS, etc. Recently it
will occassionally have a buzz in it that is so loud you cannot hear
the transmission. It will buzz on all freq, then later in the flight
it will go away. This unit is no longer supported so I'm wondering if
there is any chance this...

Heating the hanger by
Gig 601XL Builder
What is the groups suggestion for heating a 40x50 insulated hanger. It
doesn't have to be hot I just want to raise the temp about 15-20 degrees
when it is 30-40 outside.
Here's the rub. No natural gas available plenty of electric though including
an unused 220 connection.
To see the hanger visit...

Apollo Flybuddy Loran Replacement by

Now that I have a worthless Flybuddy in my panel I'm trying to decide

should the battery fail on the Garmin. I have considered getting

Aerospace Logic CHT+EGT vs EI/JPI EMS by
EridanMan
Hey Guys,
I was wondering if any of you had thoughts about the suitability of
Aerospace Logic CHT+EGT gauges as a substitute for a dedicated multibar
EMS for LOP operations.
While obviously I'd be missing out on all the "cool" features, the
aerospace logic gauges would give me Hottest Cylinder...

Citabria Fuel-Flow Problem by

The A/C in question is a 1974 Bellanca 7ECA, re-engined with an O-320
so it's effectively a 7GCAA. It belongs to the Offutt AFB Aero Club
and has seen very little use, often sitting for weeks at a time until
a week ago when I began taking dual in it 2-3 times a week to get my
tailwheel...
