Flyingmonk
Anyone know what the story behind this is? Is this thing an
ultra-ultra light? Is it a RC ultralight? Is it an RC plane?

Good post by BWB by

He even mentioned a good friend of mine, Gil Armbruster, who also
perished flying his homebuilt Revolution Mini500.

neato tape they had at Oshkosh by
[email protected]
They were showing this non-adhesive type tape at Oshkosh and the stuff
sure seemed to stick to itself well and seemed to be the ticket for
wire bundles, etc.
Forgot the name- can anyone help me out here? Can it be bought in the
US and if so where? How does this work in the real world (outside...

LSA CFI Airspace and Speed restrictions by
[email protected]
Hey guys,
I'm preparing to get LSA CFI but I had two more questions:

light-sport aircraft in Class B, C, and D airspace, at an airport
located in Class B, C, or D airspace, and to, from, through, or at an
airport having an...

There's a software update for the Lowrance AirMap 2000c dated 5/26/06 on

Carb Temperature Gauge by
fly_the_skies
Recently while poking around Westach's website (www.westach.com) I noticed
they sell a carburetor temperature gauge (2C3-1) to monitor whether your
carb air is in the range to cause carb icing. The gauge requires a sender
unit (399W) for the carburetor. I sent an e-mail to Westach asking if...

God Morning all.
Brief question. Is is possible (has it been done), to dry sump a type1 VW

Easy Eagle by
Fonz
Has anyone built an Easy Eagle?
Is there a version I and II? (What's the difference?)
They claim a build of 400hrs and cost between 8-12K.
Looks like a nice little single seater with reasonable range.
Any in Australia?
Thanks in advance.

VW derivative engine in Kitplanes-Help Please! by
Fonz
Good Morning all.
A few months ago I saw a VW derivative engine in the front of the kitplanes
magazine, in the What's New section in the front. I have since misplaced
this magazine and can't remember the name of the maker/distributor. The
engine is based on the VW engine, but I think didn't...

Drilling out old rivets questions? by
Fonz
G'Day all.
I have a Cessna 310L cockpit which I will be converting to a simulator.
I wish for it to stay as authentic as possible, including method of
construction and cosmetics.
As such I have to repair/replace and modify some aluminium panels.
My question:
What is the best way to remove solid...

Air tools fro Australia by

I'm in Australia and homebuilding is nothing like in the States, so

Australia. At this stage it looks like...

Ozzy homebuilt jet. Short lifespan? by
Fonz
Anyone see the homebuilt jet on the news over the weekend? They state that
it took him 8 years to build. They also showed an in-cockpit video of him
almost destroying it in 8 minutes.
He allegedly did some taxi tests and then flew into the wild blue yonder for
a short hop. Too much aileron in a...

GS indicator circuit-Jim Weir? by

This question is mainly aimed at Jim Weir, but others are more than welcome
to give their 2c.
With the aero-lectrics column in kitplanes, a GS tester has just been
completed.
My question. How hard would it be to make a GS indicator, with say LEDs
instead of lines and needles. For example, when...
