Clark Y information by
[email protected]
Hello,
I need some information about Clark Y profiles. I found a lot of
information like coordinates, but I really need design parameters.
Like design lift coefficient, nose radius and trailing edge radius.
I would really appreciate your help!

the thrill of flying interview is here! by
BW
A liberal response to what I've read...
There's no denying what you experienced. If you were thrilled by
something, then that's what happened - whether it was planned or came
from a surprise.
Whether it was appropriate OR how you handled it is a question for
debate. I've really learned something...

What did you look for in a plane? by
Byron Miller
I am interested in building, and i love my choices.
I'm all for building a 4 seater, but i'm sure 99% of the time it will be
just me and or me and my buddy.
Is it better to just rent a "family cruise" when needed and do something
more enjoyable? I'd like to build the Pulsar or the Lancair 2...

Another Rivet Question by

What are the "soft" rivets used for. In every instance on my project,
hard rivets were called for.
Just wondering.

Making your own canopy by
c hinds
I know this has been beat to death over the years, but, I am ready to
proceed with canopy fabrication. I am fortunate enough to have a
canopy tool (female mold) but am unsure how to proceed. Use the
female to make a male plug and try stretch forming over the plug? If I
use this method, how do I...

SWR meter Alternatives by

Or...better yet, make friends with your local radio service
technician. It's a sure bet that he has a Bird and the proper slugs.
I'm sure a quick once around the airport is cheaper than a Bird 43.

7075 T6 Angle by

I am working with plans circa 1963 that call out 7075 T6 1" angle.
Anyone know if it's still manufactured? Don't see it in ACS or Wicks.
Thanks,

4130 Chromaloy Sheet Availability by
c hinds
O.K. the big day has come at last. Ready to fit the wings to the
fuselage and need to make four fittings from 4130 .125" sheet. Cut it,
jig and weld, drill, file smooth, curse, repeat as necessary.
I ordered a 9"x 9" sheet from Wicks and sure enough, it arrives the
next day.
Sheet doesn't look like...

How to strip a wooden aircraft? by
c hinds
Just obtained an all wood aircraft in sore need of repair and paint.
Plywood wing skins and fuse.
What is the proper method for stripping. Primary concern is damage to
the underlying plywood and glue joints.
Is it just sand, sand, sand ? or will chemical strippers suffice.
Any advice...

Bob Orr and Zzzzz by

Anyone else see anything funny that Mr. Orr chose ANN to publish his
'response' to the heat he is getting from AOPA and thousands of pilots
around the country?
You almost wonder if he actually wrote it but then you realize that here is
a match made in heaven. CBS and ANN.

Arlington trip by

Three of my students and I took the 206 to Arlington yesterday. We had to go
IFR since the ceiling at Tacoma Narrows was only 400 feet. However, we broke
out on top at 1400 and sailed under clear blue skies to Arlington, which was
clear below 11,000. I was concerned about getting in there IFR and...
