Shared Ownership 1987 Mooney M20J by
Steve B
I am not flying my plane enough and would like to consider a
partnership arrangement for the aircraft. I plan on having the aircraft
based on the west coast. I hope to start a partnership with 1/4 shares
at 22500.00 I am new to the dynamics of sharing ownership and flying
costs. Just curious if...

OT - Ebay Bidding Tactics by
Jay Honeck
I have been trying to purchase a Narco CP-136 audio panel for almost
two years. Mine works just fine, but is cosmetically flawed, and I
need a new faceplate.
Unfortunately, Narco no long sells faceplates for this unit, so I am
stuck in the used market, which means Ebay.
For at least the last...

Light twins not using contra-rotating propellers by
Capt.Doug
"Mark Levin" wrote in message
As was pointed out to me the Beechcraft Baron does not use contra-rotating
propellers. A bit of research showed me that most U.S. built light twins
do
not use them either.
My question is why?
Cost has been pointed out, however the Piper Navajo Chieftain...

Is it possible to switch from VFR to IFR and back? by
Mxsmanic
If I am instrument rated and my aircraft is fully equipped for
instrument flight, and I start out a flight with a VFR flight plan,
and it gets foggy enough that I'm below minimums, is there a way to
switch to IFR in flight, or do I have to have filed IFR from the
beginning? If it's possible in...

Light twins not using contra-rotating propellers by

Mark Levin wrote:
Are the added engineering/manufacturing/maintenance issues for
contra-rotating props that great?
The right engine becomes much more expensive to maintain because the
single engine fleet and the left engine would be the same, thus more
parts readily available.

Grob Crash by
john smith
AvWeb has sent out an announcement following the crash of one of two
flying prototype Grob SPn jets the company is developing. The crash
occurred during a flight demonstration for invited guests.
As always, it's always too early to speculate.

Way to go Valvetom!! by
Greg Farris
Just when I thought this group was going to hell, along comes Valvetom
with his Blbcock fittings, Swivel Female Adapters and Brass Nipples!
He even answers his own post with a follow-up of the same post!
A refreshing dose of sanity after all that's been going on here of late!

Grand Canyon West Airport - 1G4 by
Dan
All,
Has anyone ever flown in here? I've heard conflicting reports of being
able to just walk over to the rim of the canyon. Does anyone know if
it's possible and/or have suggestions?
Thanks,
Dan

How do you find the limits of areas on a chart? by
Mxsmanic
I see tons of restricted areas, MOAs, Class B, C, D, E airspace, and
the like on charts, but no clear indication of how to locate the
boundaries of these areas other than by pure guesstimate based on
looking at the chart. On rare occasions I see a radial noted as the
boundary of an area, or a...

Get a ferry permit, or just fly it? by
Paul Tomblin
If you've got a small problem with your plane, do you bother with a ferry
permit, or do you just fly it if you think it's safe?
Hypothetical: Say your (shared) plane has gotten some damage, say for
instance a wingtip strobe/nav light assembly got scraped off against a
hangar while it was being...

IFR ? -- Doesn't that mean

Actually my real question as an avionics technician and not a pilot is
out in the wide open spaces in the USA where people like veterinarians
use small planes to reach farms in a large area they cover.
Is it legal to land a small plane...

anyone has any advice on how to strap a camera on or not on a tripod

desire (pan it left...
