zenith hds/xl by
Ted Leon
From my limited view point, the 601 HDS is a GREAT airplane as advertised.
Is seems just as fast the the
XL, not accounting for altitude, true air speed, etc. OK the stall factor
may be a consideration for some? I guess the LSA situation is the BIG factor
here.
What do you think, Zenith...

Zinc Chromate in 2005 by
Michael Horowitz
I'm looking at a 60 year old Tcraft. She was originally primed with
zinc chromate. If I need to remove some fabric to get at some rust, is
there any reason I shouldn't use ZC as a primer? After all, the last
application seems to have lasted 60 years!
Are there any concerns about any of the...

Zink Chromate Paste by
Michael Horowitz
Duralac Zinc Chromate Paste doesn't appear in the Spruce or Wick
catalog, apparently for health reasons.
I do see it mentioned for sale by marine stores.
Has anyone using an acceptable substitute, easier to locate? - MIke

Zirforit? by
Juan Jimenez
Anyone know who makes "Zirforit" seals? I think it's the name of some kind
of proprietary alloy, probably a company by the initials of E.D.E.C. but
have no other info and Google comes back with one and ONLY one match.

Zodiac XL vs Rans S-19 vs Van's RV-12 by
Jim Logajan
I may have overlooked a few, but if one were looking for a kit that:
1) is light sport compliant,
2) is low wing,
3) uses tricycle gear,
4) is of metal construction,
5) built using primarily pop type rivets,
6) and has a bubble canopy,
then up until relatively recently, the Zenith Zodiac XL ...

Here's a quote from yesterdays ANN article:
"ANN's Jim Campbell, flying an R-44 helo (which is
proving to be an impressive load-hauler, even in the
oppressive heat) in outlying disaster areas..."
What a hoot he's got them convinced at the home office that he's flying relief
missions in a R-44 ....

ZPE by
Big John
AW&ST had an article in the 1 March issue on ZPE (Zero Point Energy)
and the "Casimir effect" that should be read by all.
If you don't have access to AW&ST, then go to Google and search for
"ZPE". The articles I read there were not as good as the AW&ST article
but will give you an idea of what may...
