New computer and I can't use my joystick! by
Steve Bukosky
I just upgraded from my PIII 450 Mhz to a Sony 3.0gig Pentium IIII ht

up Flight Simulator 2002, get my Microsoft Sidewinder forced feedback
joystick and DUH! No connector for it! FS2002 is the ONLY thing I
need all this...

fs2004 by
Farzad
Hi,
The last version of the FS that i had used was the 2k2. This version allowed
uploading all the scenery files for faster start up of the sim - it also did
not require a CD to be in the drive for it to function. The first version
that I have used, by the way, was the first version they came up...

Starting Prop Engines in FS2002 by
[email protected]
Hi,
I know this should be easy, but it's proven not to be.
The jet aircraft have 'auto start' and the engines crank up in sequence
just fine.
Props are becoming problematic. What is the sequence for starting to
Beechcraft or Baron props? Is there an 'auto start' command?
Thanks,
Honus

Trimming down Task Manager in XP for best PC performance... by
John Hellingsworth
Hi
Now with more time on my hands, just got back into Flight Sims.
In order to mimimise background progs running and slowing down any flight
sim applications, I always start from a basic msconfig startup setup.
With regards to Windows Task Manager however, I've never disabled anything,
at the...

FS2004- Where's All the Old Stuff? by
RobertS975
Just installed FS2004 for the first time.... where's all the old stuff, like
the pre-set ILS approaches into Oakland etc? Each version upgrade has always
included the "old stuff".

FS2004 does not start by
Henk van der Heijden
The MS Flight Simulator 2004 will not start on my desktop computer.
Some seconds after the startup image shows up, it disappears and that is
it. My desktop easily meets the system requirements. It uses a NVIDIA
GeForce2 MX/MX400 card. The system runs under Windows XP Pro.
I have read about...

FS9 Time Zone Files in BETA Test by
DDT
Finally, my time zone files are now compatible with FS9 (FS2004 - A Century
of Flight). They're also compatible with the latest public release of "FS
Real Time". The files must be installed manually as explained in the readme
file in order for them to work with both programs.
My time zone files...

Dr. Anthony J. Lomenzo
Stop it! YOU elected to click on, yes? ;-)
Think of it as a flight .... of sorts .... but then, you never quite
know what the theme is...
OK...straight sim stuff this time around....how about some takers on
this current mystery: Naturally, '04 is doing its thing and
FS2K2 likewise but I...

New ATC simulator by
Shelley
I wanted to reply to a thread about someone asking about ATC
simulators, but I haven't managed to work out how to use the
newsgroups properly yet - so I apologise for starting a new thread.
My husband has developed a new London Control ATC simulator. It's
going to be released at the end of...

Multiplayer Co-pilot FS9 by
Scet
I think it would be cool to be able to link up FS9 with a mate and "share
the same aircraft" so to speak. Have the ability to both be able to control
the aircraft and its systems. Doing a flight in one of the heavies and
having a co-pilot there as a resource to set radios, lower/raise the gear
and...

CH ProPedals problem by
Cynthia Reid
Hi, I am new to flightsim and struggling at nearly 70 to get to grips with
it.
I have FS2002 Professional and XP Home. I got the CH Yoke and ProPedals and
have installed them without any problem. All seemed well - just plug in USBs
and go, as the drivers are incorporated.
However I find that after...
