Bob Golden-TOA/LGB by
Ol Shy & Bashful
With sadness I learned of Bob passing away from lymphatic cancer last
Saturday 11Feb. He was an early test pilot on the R-22, 'Nam vet pilot,
chief pilot at AlexAir for years. If you have been to the Robinson
safety course you may recall seeing him doing autos in at least one
video. I flew with him...

Brand New Bell 47 Spider Still Packed in Cosmoline ---- What's It Worth? by
Larry Smith
And what does it do? It looks to me like it's part of the drive train.
Until I opened the original box and looked inside, it had never been opened
since the 60's when the spider was manufactured by Textron in Fort Worth,
Texas.
The spider belongs to WNC Air Museum, which is selling it.

that there are plenty of nice Brantlys out there for less than a $100K. My
questions to the group are;
1. Is it do-able to get my training in my own machine? insurance,
instructors, does the instructor have to have been...

Building a Gyrobee by
TM
Greetings, all.
I am new to this group, but I have been studying Gyros for a few years.
I've decided on building a Gyrobee. I'd love to build one from
scratch, doing my own cutting and drilling, not for the cost savings
but just because I'm an engineer at heart and love to build things.
The only...

Carb Heat by
[email protected]
I heard, somewhere, that if you apply full carb heat and then
immediately lower the collective (on R22s and 44s)this can cause the
engine to run rough and in extreme cases can even cause engine
failure.I s there any evidence for this or is it just a silly rumour?
I have, up until now, always pulled...

castellated socket by
Stuart & Kathryn Fields
I'm looking for a castellated socket 2" OD with 6 tangs, splines, whatever
they are called. Needed to disengage the yoke nut from the top of my rotor
mast. Google just runs me back and forth thru India, NSW and other places.
Anyone know of a source?

CECO Vs. Bendix Fuel Controls by
Mike Th...
Does anyone know the benefits of either a CECO fuel control versus a Bendix
fuel control on the Rolls Royce 250 Series? Aside from the fact that one
works off of air pressure and the other off of fuel pressure is one better
than another?
