Anyone use Air Chart? by
Steven Barnes
I saw an ad in AOPA for www.airchart.com . Does anyone have any experience
with these charts? My flight instructor recently got them. For someone that
does a bit of traveling, it sounds like a great deal. I'm curious how
practical they are (in-flight usage, not able to draw the big 'ol line
across...

Good first partnership or not? 1/6th Cherokee 140 Share in CA by
noah
Hi r.a.o guys,
Thru a local ad I found a 1/6th share in a 1969 Cherokee 140
(hershey bar wing). I've done some minimal due diligance on it and it
looks, well, like an old 1969 rental. The nose-wheel cowling is pretty
worn (looks like it's been glued several times) and the paint is
original & drab....

frequently, pick up near to the dorm site.
I'm using one of the beds. Other bed (and possible air mattress on floor) is
available.

Next club purchase... by
Robert Barker
Our club currently flies a 172R and 172SP as trainers and a Diamond DA40 as
our 3rd plane. We've put tons of students thru our 172s and are finally
getting some good usage on our Diamond. We've started "long distance"
planning on our next planes. We'd like to get a good low wing trainer like...

Cessna 152 by
Jay
I'm taking my PPL and trying to locate a
decent/depedable 152 to purchase rather than
keep renting. Also how many hours on the
TTAF time is too many before problems arise.
It seems most flight schools are selling
around 9k-10k hours?
Any 152 sellers out there?
Thanks Jay

Century Ic and GPS by
Grandmaster
Anyone know...Do I need a Digital to Analog converter to connect my
Garmin 396 to my Century Ic? Anyone got any schematics? Does anyone
have a setup like this? How efficient is the wing leveler (does it
hold a track when slaved to a gps source)?
Thanks, Kelly

Piper Lance pros/cons? by
Frode Berg
Hi!
I just started looking at the Piper Lance.
It looks nice performance wise (both Turbo and non turbo model) and it looks
like a more natural next step for someone like me owning an old Arrow with
the retracts than the Cherokee 6's.
Anyone got any pros or cons regarding this model?
How does...

DME recommendations by
mindenpilot
Let me start by admitting my ignorance about DME's.
In my plane I have to KX-170Bs, one indicator has GS.
I also have an ADF.
I have no DME, and I've never used one.
I've started studying for my instrument written test.
I've noticed that a large number of approaches would either be more
difficult...

Adding a glideslope to a KX-155 by
Brinks
I'm looking at a plane that has a KX-155 radio without the glideslope. Can
I add a glideslope to it and get another head, or is that something that has
to be built in to the radio from the factory? Any info is greatly
appreciated!

NEW FLIGHT SCHOOL - Best in Flight Aviation Academy - Morristown,New Jersey by
Dave Vioreanu
Robert-
Thank you for your well-wishes! We certainly hope to get a lot of local
business, but also want those longer-distance pilots, who own their own
planes, to be able to take advantage of our convenient hours and pricing
when progressing through further training. It will also give them...

SR20 vs SR22 exhaust by
Ben Jackson
I'm not sure I'd ever seen an SR20 before today, and boy does it have
obnoxious exhausts. Are all Cirrus planes like that and I've just missed
it?

Piper Wheel Pants Question by
Brian Sponcil
As you may or may not know, Piper changed their wheel pants (at least on the
Warrior) around 1978. IMHO the later model pants are quite a bit
nicer/better than the old ones. Now the question is, I own a '75 Warrior.
Can I legally put the later model pants on it? If so, what's required in
terms...

Are there any pilots out there who fly frequently to New England from

general aviation and small planes. I travel often to New England from
