OT - Plasma TV question by
Jay Honeck
I'm considering installing a big-screen plasma (or LCD) TV in our
meeting room at the inn, for use during presentations, etc.
An alternative (and, to me, more important) use of this equipment would
be as "God's Own Flight Simulator" for visiting pilots and their
families to use. I think it would...

WAAS upgrade for your G1000? by
Dan Luke
From the Cessna Pilots Ass'n avionics forum:
"Just talked to Tom Engberg at Cessna about G1000 WAAS upgrade. He said that
Cessna was waiting on Garmin to propose an upgrade to the pre 07 G1000s. He
also said that it was going to take a change in the GIAs and that would be
very expensive. This...

WAAS question -- altitude accuracy? by
Craig Davidson
Jay Honeck wrote in message ...
How accurate is GPS for determining altitude, now that WAAS is active?
I was in the air over five hours yesterday, and while droning along found
that our new AvMap's altitude readout was just about dead-nuts accurate --
it was maybe 50 feet off, at times.

Most experienced CFI runs out of gas by
Robert M. Gary
The local news is reporting that a local CFI (with over 30,000 hours
of instruction giving since the early 1960's) ran out of gas just
short of the airport after picking up a P210 and flying back from
Texas to California. Boy, if it can happen to him, it can happen to
anyone. It will be interesting...

Citabria Fuel-Flow Problem by
quietguy
The A/C in question is a 1974 Bellanca 7ECA, re-engined with an O-320
so it's effectively a 7GCAA. It belongs to the Offutt AFB Aero Club
and has seen very little use, often sitting for weeks at a time until
a week ago when I began taking dual in it 2-3 times a week to get my
tailwheel...

That's the cost for your ticket in Europe.
(Assuming 55 hours, *not* including the seven tests, materials and ground
school.)
One hour of dual training in the U.K. - $315.27
One hour of single engine trainer rental in the U.K. - $285.27
