Sport Pilot Airplanes - Homebuilt? by
Rich S.
Anybody else notice the complete absence of the words "Homebuilt" in the
latest article about Sport Pilot on the EAA website
http://www.airventure.org/2003/friaug1/sport_pilot.html.
I have to wonder if the only "approved" airplanes will be commercially
manufactured ones.

Hughes Racer Replica Lost by
Wayne Sagar
It would appear that the wonderful Hughes Racer Replica has been lost
in a crash in Yellowstone Park.
My prayers go out to everyone involved with this project. Jim Wright
was one of the nicest people I've ever met.

Question - Regarding Canard Pushers... by
Tilt
Hi,
I'm new to this newsgroup. I have a couple of questions.
Sometime within the next 10 years (hopefully a bit sooner), I will begin a
homebuilt project. Myself and a couple of friends plan to go in on a project
together. Basically splitting the costs and the final product. 2 of us do
not yet...

Is there anyone on this group that uses one of the following new

Jim Weir's CO detector design in June Kitplanes by
Michael
In Jim Weir's CO detector design in June Kitplanes there is an adjustment
for tempurature and altitude. Can anyone please explain how to use the
adjustment in the circuit, ie, how do you set the sensor initially on the
ground and how do you then adjust it for altitude and temperature changes?

Your fancy schmancy dream machine by
David O
There have been many posts in recent months by people contemplating
their own complicated and even radical designs. Reading between the
lines, it appears that many of those people have yet to build their
first plane. May I kindly suggest that one's first plane should be a
time-proved kit or...

Bought a load of surplus from Lockheed many moons ago.
Most left in the same timeframe, but this SP20 amplifier
assy. ended up on a pallet of, 'geez, there must be some good
parts in the coffins' stuff. Now relocating and have to
unload the edebris. Researched this one box and it turns out...

Fiberglass Vacuum Bagging Technique...Resin Infusion by

Is anyone using the new fiberglass process called Resin Infusion?
This is the process where you lay all of your fiber reinforcements down dry

Looking for sand paper rolls and adhesive by
Roger Halstead
Where in the devil can I find sand paper long enough to use on my 4
foot long block sander? That and the adhesive for applying it.
I've been resorting to using shorter pieces and self stick adhesive
but I really don't like using 4 pieces of sandpaper.
I have a small bottle of the "self stick"...

Corky's engine choice by
Corky Scott
Someone expressed surprise that I was now working on a Ford 3.8L V-6
for my engine. Last they'd heard, I was trying to find a certified
type.
I thought I'd bring everyone up to date. It's true that I had
basically given up on using an auto conversion as I was having trouble
justifying the cost...
