Check Valve Repair? by
Larry
I have a fuel line check valve between my axillary electric fuel pump
and the mechanical one.(I don't know if it is a "bleeder" type..not
sure what that means). Anyway I discovered a fuel leak during my
pre-flight when I turned on my backup electric fuel pump on my 0200A
Continental engine. The...

L.A.R.K. Program by
Flyingmonk
I'm neither left nor right, but I do admit... it's funny.
Subject: L.A.R.K. Program
A person wrote a letter to the White House complaining about the
treatment of a captive taken during the Afghanistan war. Below is a
copy of the response.

Removable glue by
Lou
I just started building my wings. Being a wooden aircraft, I have
assembled and disembled the wings several times to adjust and fit. I'm
getting to the point where I need to keep them from moving, but not
quite glue on the covering. I would like to glue on temperary cross
bracing with removable...

Experimental or not? by
John D. Abrahms
Hello!
I'm reading here for a while now, but today I want to come up with a
question that bothered me for a while. I'm not a pilot (but will begin
to take flight lessons soon) so this is mostly out of curiosity.
I know that all the airplanes that people build by themselves fall
into the...

compound curves in plywood by
BA-100
I'm considering building a replica of a 30's glider that was originally
built in two halves, like a plastic model, but with pressed plywood halves.
Duplicating this has been outside the reach of a homebuilder without some
sort of press, and any made since have either been made out of fiberglass
or...

Looking for a reversible fuel transfer pump by
[email protected]
I have a 12Gal aux tank that I want to be able to transfer fuel TO and
FROM my main tank. For simplicity and lightness, I'd prefer to use a
single reversible pump on a single fuel line ... along with a solenoid
shutoff valve in series to prevent gravity flow when off.
There are cheapo plastic...

REM37by???? by
Michael Horowitz
The REM37BY is a shorter version of the REM40E. It also apparently
runs cooler.
Googling around, I see there may be a shorter version of the REM37BY.
Doesn't sound correct; I'd expect a different model number. Can anyone
verify or counter a 'shorter version' of the REM37BY?
Second - again with...

Fuel Sending Unit? by
Bill Adams
I have just put a new electronic engine monitoring guage on my Falcon.
It allows for connection to any fuel sending units for fuel
monitoring. I've talked to just a couple of people who have told me
that a fuel gauge is undependable. That puzzels me because you can't
buy a car without them nor have...

Fueling from Plastic Containers and Blowing yourself up? by
Juaquin Murrieta
I just read the thread above on static electricity problems associated
with using jerry cans of various compositions. I have a couple
questions and comments.
First of all, does anyone really know of an accident anywhere? I
mean, is there anyone out there in this ng who has ever seen a fire
start...

Continental A-65 Price by
Hey all,
I'm starting a homebuilt project (obtained partially completed) and was
wondering what kind of price I'm looking at for a Continental A-65 with a
couple hundred hours left on it. How about an overtime engine?
Thanks,
-Tony

I am looking into a purchase and there is an ultralight for sale in Winnepeg

here at reasonable cost is an issue.

On the plans of the Homebuilt I am building it calls for a Boom.. The
material requested is 6063-T3 (Which I cannot find anywhere)

Dzus #47 by
Michael Horowitz
I've lost a Dzus fastener off my cowling.
The other fittings have the marking "Dzus 47" on their head.
Looking thru my catalogs, I don't see any of the fitting with that
designation.
Any idea how to cross that designation to something in the catalog? -
Mike
