I'm looking for any old props you may have laying around the hangar. Cued
tips? Great. Bent? No problem. Tips shattered? Fine.
These will be used as decor in our aviation theme-suite hotel in Iowa City,
IA. I will pick up if you're close enough!

Picking a flight school by
Dallas
I'm finding myself motivated to take a few lessons and I'm getting
conflicting opinions as to how to pick a flight school. As you can see from
my moniker, I'm from Dallas and Addison Airport has quite a few schools.
One opinion was that Addison was a good choice because they'll have more
modern...

They really *are* shooting at the helicopters... by

This just in from the AP:

But across the flooded-out city, the rescuers themselves came under attack
from storm victims.
"Hospitals are trying to evacuate," said Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Cheri
Ben-Iesan, spokesman at the city emergency operations center....

Shooting at helicopters, any proof? (Katrina) by
Flyingmonk
1. Has any helicopter been shoot down during Katrina rescue attempt?
2. Has any helicopters returned with bullet holes? one bullet hole?
I'd say those people were shooting to get attention of the pilots.
When I was young, I was taught to shoot three times in the air if you
needed help.

Overall, what is your experience in the Southern US?
What are your FBO's telling you?
Are their suppliers telling them to expect/not expect future shipments?

Withheld By Request
What are the differences between the Lycoming I0360 SER A&C as installed in
a 2000 Cessna 172SP Millenium Edition and a Lycoming IO360L2A as installed
in a 2005 172SP.
The SER A&C is listed at 200hp and the L2A at 180hp.
Someone? Anyone?
Just Wondering,

CAP flight boots by
Robert M. Gary
Where is the best place to find used CAP boots? I've seen some online
but they're still pretty expensive. It sounds like they don't allow
standard "jungle boots" because they have plastic and melt in fire.
