New HPN Tower Procedure for VFR traffic by
Roy Smith
The following just got forwarded to me (I did some minor
reformatting). I thought people here might be interested and/or have
comments to make. For those not familiar, WAA is the Westcheter
Aviation Association, a HPN user group.

Source for old air navigation charts? by
Bill Carson
I'm not a pilot, but am looking for any sources of old
air navigation charts for the USA. I am looking for
charts solely for Washington state that were published
from the 40's through the 60's.
Anyone know of a source, or at least where to start
looking?
Thanks,

Jet Blue On CNN by
John A. Weeks III
Anyone else watch the Jet Blue Airbus on CNN
do the emergency landing at LAX with the nose
gear pointed crossways? It is worth checking
out the highlights on CNN to watch it. That
had to be one of the best and smoothest landings
I have ever seen. The pilot really greased it
in, and held the nose...

Only official instrument approaches authorised under FAR? by

:
FAR 91.175 (a) suggests that it is not permitted to carry out a
descent in IMC except on an official published IAP.
Any views on this?
How would it differ if the entire procedure was done in Class...

VLA outside U.S.? by

Sport Aircraft). Seems that I am dreaming of a VLJ or so... ;-)
I think as long as it is N-numbered, reciprocity agreements will allow it to be

Now THAT'S how to run an airshow by
MikeremlaP
Am extremely remiss in not posting this sooner. Deciding to not fly to the
Watsonville fly-in last weekend got me thinking about it again.

it right. That is, they don't charge admission to pilots who fly their
aircraft...
