OOPS! Got contact cement on the windshield by
Mike Rapoport
I managed to get some 1300L contact cement on the windshield of my Helio
Courier while reattaching the vinyl to the glareshield. Does anyone know if
I can use "adhesive remover" on an acrylic windshield without causing
crazing? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Comanche 260 - 1965 by
Sami Saydjari
I heard recently that a 1965 Comanche 260 is the fastest of the Comanche
260s (by about 5 nts). Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone have a
favorite year for Comanche 260s in terms of performance or capability?

Buying recently rebuilt or fixing one up? by
[email protected]
I am currently taking flying lessons. I would like to own my own
aircraft and have been considering various options.
I am currently training in a 152 and I think a 150 or 152 would be a
fun first plane to build time with.
The 150/152's that appear to be in good condition seem to be in the
35k range...

KAP140 Autopilot Weirdness by
Brien K. Meehan
My autopilot has started fighting with me, and I'm afraid it's going to
win.
It's a 3-axis KAP140 in a Skyhawk SP. What it's doing is ... well, it
just starts turning.
After about an hour, it goes into a turn, unannounced. There doesn't
seem to be anything instigating it. It's usually to the...

Get a big tank with a spigot at the bottom, fill it with mogas.
Add water, aggitate, let sit.
The alcohol ladden water will settle to the bottom.
Open the spigot, drain the...

Door seal, inflateable or no? by
Jim Burns
Our Aztec's door seal needs replacing. I'm wondering how many people go the
inflatable route and what their experience has been. Would you do it again?
Does it block noise and air better than the standard seal? Does it push the
door away from the frame or cause too much pressure against the...

I am a member of a 3-way partnership in a Cessna 206. We have just

It uses small camping style propane bottles which are readily available
at Wal-mart or other retailers. They do not...

After sending my Lycoming AEIO-540 to the factory for a mandatory repair it
has finally returned. At Oshkosh this year the people at the Lycoming booth
swore it would take only two weeks, but when the actual paperwork arrived
everything said one month in the shop. It ended up taking a little over...

Hello all. I know it's been awhile since I updated, but progress has been
slow. Here's where we're at:
Last weekend:
- Pulled valve covers, rockers, pushrods, exhaust.
- Pushed on valves and were unable to feel any sticking like there was the last time
we definately had sticking valves. Decided...
