Wanted: Blank Datacard Garmin GNS430 by
Marco Leon
Sorry for the broadcast but I seem to have lost my extra datacard for my
GNS430. Does anoyone happen to have en extra one they'd like to unload? Of
course, I don't need to have any data on there (in other words, not looking
to scam for a more updated database).
Thanks,
Marco

Upgrading your Strikefinder? by
Peter MacPherson
Has anyone upgraded their older Strikefinder(plasma screen)
to the newer(LED) model? My display is getting very weak
and hard to read and I thought I heard Insight would upgrade
your older plasma model to the newer model at a decent price.
TIA,
Pete

Mystery Solved by
Jeff Franks
A couple of months ago, I posted in here about seeing a light twin climbing
out of our local airport with only one prop turning. They were ~200ft when
I saw them and they maintained a straight course and barely climbing as I
watched them go out of site. I never knew what was going on...

Negative XPDR - under the outer ring of Class C by
bcjames
I fly a an "aircraft which was not originally certificated
with an engine-driven electrical system" under 91.215. I
have no transponder, but do carry a handheld radio. I was
recently told by an FAA designated pilot examiner that I
cannot fly under the outer ring of the local class C
airspace. I...

Private Pilot without Medical -- Sport Pilot operation? by
Danny Deger
I am a private pilot without a current medical, but with a valid
drivers license. Can I fly under the sport pilot rules, or do I need
to apply for a sport pilot certificate? I have never been denied a
medical.

Pirep: Pullman-Moscow, WA by
gatt
2.1 hours from Troutdale to Pullman at 120 KIAS, thanks to a gracious
tailwind.
Pullman-Moscow is a nontowered airfield, 6,700'x100' at 2,553' field elev
with a Horizon terminal, so you end up in the pattern on CTAF with jet
traffic.
The runway is great but the taxiway is in disrepair. In fact,...

V-n Diagrams by
john smith
I have been playing around making V-n diagrams for the various airplanes
I rent from my flying club.
I made one for our P28T-201RT and was looking for the numbers on the
PA32-300.
The one item for the PA32-300 that would not follow the formula for
calculating the lift line was Va. The book shows...

How embarrassing! by
Roger Long
Where is Miss Manners when you need her. I think I've gotten myself in a
real jam.
Our club could really use some publicity. I saw a very nice article about a
flying school in a nearby city so I called the reporter and offered to take
him flying. He is quite interested in doing a story on the club...

which airport/FBO is recommended. Seems like the choice is limited
