http://pcneedtogo.blogspot.com/2008/10/flashing-laser-pointer-at-aircraft-is.html This is my public service announcement to the idiots who have decided to shine green laser pointers into the cockpits of airplanes either taking off, landing or ascending to cruising altitude. Stop doing it! You...

Gyrocopter requirements and limitations by Andy L
I'm not sure if you guys here are up on this here. But I've read here quite a bit and witnessed some valuable knowledge, and some real idiots. I'll try to sort through responses. I am a private pilot ASEL and typically fly rented Cessnas and Pipers. Airplane and fuel costs have gotten me to...

When Airline Pilots WON'T speak ENGLISH!!! by hello
The FO does most of the communications; they don't trust my perfect English. In South Fl if you speak good English you can't communicate properly. I have had a lot of fun with my language in Miami. Most people (latins) assume I don't speak or understand Spanish, and it is quite funny when they...

Why can't the French dump fuel? by Robert M. Gary
Does anyone have any insight into why the A320 isn't able to dump fuel. What factors would go into such a design compromise? -Robert

Mid-air collision over Colorado by Jeff none
2 Cessna's(a 210 and a 180) collided over CO the other day.Yet all 6 people on both planes survived uninjured. The 210 landed without it's nosewheel and the 180 landed upside down and w/o it's tail assembly(most likely snapped off by the 210).Absolutely amazing.

KLN-90B by [email protected]
I am considering KLN-90B as replacement for my M-3 Approach. Question for experienced KLN-90B users: Legality aside, can you operate KLN-90B in approach mode (doing GPS approaches) with an outdated database? Thanks in advance, Robin Hou

passed commercial written by [email protected]
so i just passed the commercial written, and i hear that the CFI written is half of the commercial written information, with the other half being new material. Any reality to that? I also have watched a few videos of fellow group members flying, and wondering how many of you are running lean of...

Landing KJAN with ATC Communications - Video by [email protected]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4Ccc0lWMis First crack at this. Comments most welcomed here or on the video to improving these type of videos. Still want to work on the sound levels to simulate the actual sound levels. Engine level a touch lower then in the actual plane. Minor balancing act :-)

Just push the blue button! by Darkwing
Cirrus has added a new auto level button on their latest planes. Will a button on the stick that you push to automatically reset the plane to straight and level make any difference on Cirrus accidents or is it just a gimmick? What say you?
