Piper Parts Master Cross Reference by
John[_9_]
There used to be a master cross reference list of piper parts. Is it
still available? An internet search turns up only dead links.

Jeppesen database subscription for Garmin GNS530W / GNS430W WAAS GPS by
jbskies
I just read about the GNS530W Pilot Guide. In page 3, it says:
NOTE: The GNS 500W-series units use a different database
than in the legacy units. The databases are incompatible
between units. The GNS 500W-series units must use a
WAAS enabled database.
Can anyone who has...

NSD360A Pinouts by
Michelle P
Hi all,
I am looking for the pinouts for the NSD360A. I pulled mine and am
replacing it with a much better one. Instead of tracing the wires back
to the source units I was hoping to just transfer the wire from the old
connector the new one. I am having trouble finding the pinouts for the
360....

Diamond DA-40 with G-1000 pirep by
C J Campbell
I got a demo flight in a Diamond DA-40 equipped with the Garmin G-1000 glass
cockpit this morning. We departed IFR from Tacoma Narrows and flew west for
some maneuvers. This plane was the second one out of the factory with the
G-1000. I had a difficult time maintaining my altitude; the altitude...

PAE 5610 R/T Information
Hi All, I know this is a long shot, but would anyone have any information such as programming, schematics or even microphone pin-outs for this old aircraft radio? I use it as a hanger radio but need some documentation for it. Anything will help and be greatly appreciated....

ELT Checks by
Kevin Chandler
I know that I am allowed to replace the ELT battery of my airplane. At the
same time, I performed an ELT check as stated in FAR 91.207. Not being an
A&P or an IA, am I allowed to perform this check and sign off on it?
Thanks in advance for any responses,

Cessna 172 gear warning by
Paul Kassel
Flying my RG I found recently that the gear up warning only will work while I am on Com 1 and not Com 2, this is something new and no mechanic or instrument shop at KSEE seems to know why. Any ideas beside my lazy ass looking in my POH?

MoGas Tips, Tricks, Concerns, How To by
Al Gilson
We have a 1964 Cessna 172E with a Continental 0-300D. It has the
AutoGas STC, but we've never used anything but 100LL. We've had some
lead deposits and a stuck valve last spring.
With the rising cost of 100LL at our airport, I'm looking at starting to
use 87 Unleaded auto gas.
Is there a...

Preheating engines: Airplane engines versus auto engines by
Peter R.
This time of year here in the Northeast US I always preheat my Bonanza's
IO520 engine with a Tanis heater and an insulated cowling/prop cover as it
sits in an unheated t-hangar. The result is that the oil temperature at
startup is around 105 degrees F, even if the outside air temperature is as
low...

Background:
I am about a 60 hour, non current pilot who hasn't flown in about 13 years. I have a pipeline coming through my place that has produced funds and this Summer will take out a clump of trees that will free up a place for about an 1,100 feet grass strip in the direction of the...

Granville's Strut Seal - Or Other Strut Maintenance Techniques by

When I stepped on the wing of my Cherokee 235 today, the strut went
completely flat. I got underneath the wing and lifted the plane back
up to a normal strut position where it stayed until I put any weight
on it; again it went completely flat. I pushed it back up one more
time and put my air...

Doesn't one of the N # databases list the complete ownership history? The

Hello everyone. I'm continuing my quest to buy the best deal in America
today.
Another option I've looked at is purchasing a low price Cessna with an
engine that's past it's recommended time between major overhaul. Some of the
sellers I've spoken with are insistent that recomended times...

I'm not sure if there are any folks left here from "the Golden Age of
