Not Particularly Impressed with Tuskegee Airmen Propaganda. by
The Enlightenment

was apparently not common and for this its men deserve great honor.
However the reason the Trugegee Airmen worked, indeed the reason integration
has not degraded the effectiveness of the US military is this: ...

KC-767 vs Re-Mod DC-10's by
John Halliwell
In article , CFA3

My guess, (taken for what it's worth), is that we could refurbish and
convert those 10's at something of the order of 1/3 the cost of new
767's. Not to mention the commonality issue that would be...

B-26s Bombing D-Day Beaches by
vincent p. norris
A week ago, there was a discussion of the altitudes from which B-26s
bombed the beaches on D-Day.
I talked today with a friend who flew one of those B-26s at Utah
Beach. He said they bombed from 1,100 feet. He didn't know what
altitudes were used at Omaha.
He added that he saw landing craft...

As long as you can make it through basic training?
How exactly does that work? Basic training? AIT? Why AIT when they

I work out at the airport & was having lunch when I heard a loud jet,
obviously not the usual turbofans you hear around the airport.
Looked up to see an RNZAF Skyhawk coming from the north heading south
