A-6 Radar Display? by Nick Coleman
Just started re-reading Coont's Flight of the Intruder, and his description of the capabilities of the terrain radar is interesting. Early in the book he describes a training flight through canyons and valleys in IMC, using the radar for avoidance. I'm curious what the BN would actually see in...

Sähköjaostolle salamasuojista by Niko Nylund
Ihan alkukevennykseksi tapaus JiiPee. Kaveri hihkui innoketta nettiin ja kertoili pääsevänsä Olkiluotoon "oikeisiin ydintöihin" turbiinihalliin. Ihasteli suurella volyymilla, miten komennus oli hänen elämänsä täyttymys. No sitä kokeneemmat koetti toppuuttaa, ettei punaisena meuhkaava...

Navy Wings? by nmg175
Saw a B/G Marine with what appeared to be Navy Pilot Wings on his tunic on C-SPAN. But these were different, they had a Star in the middle, looked very similar to the U.S. Air Force Senior Pilot wings. Have they gone to this approach, with Command Pilot also? Or where these some sort of other...

Check this Approach & Landing out! by nmg175
With the computer landing the aircraft, the only thing keeping this thing from making a hole in the ground is EPF (Extreme Pucker Factor) on the part of the pilot who's just along for the ride --- and can't seeanything!. This may be the future of carrier aircraft landings ... you don't have to...

Ribbons? by Noah Little
Jim wrote: http://www.news.navy.mil/view_photos.asp?page=5&sort_type=0&sort_row=1 Ribbons on the dungaree uniform? It's not a dungaree uniform. Not to mention nearly three rows for a PO3, give me a break. Why not? Could have been the result of a meritorious bust from PO1.
