accesory drive adapter oil leak by
Jim Burns
I've got an oil leak on our Aztec left engine, IO540 C4B5. The hydraulic
pump on the left engine has a drain/vent hose that is leaking engine oil. It
is definitely not hyd oil. I had a new garlock oil seal pressed into the
accessory drive adapter housing thinking that this was how the oil...

The need for original documents, N-reg aircraft? by
Dave Butler

Can anyone point to a reference for this? I can't find it in the 2005
FAR/AIM.

toy question for a ique 3600a by
N12477psf
Hey, I've had this 3600a for a while now and I'm pretty happy with
it. I'm trying to figure out how to track a radial inbound. Getting a
direct path to the VOR is so biggy but I'd like to get this to
simulate a radial for me if possible. Anyone have any ideas?

OT Dr. Strangelove by

Anyone know what the Slim Pickins quote "I'm gonna get them doors open
if it harelips everybody on ear Creek!" means. I have just watched the
movie (again) and have always wondered it it has any hidden
significance.

SCUMBAG finale! by
[email protected]
Marzo,
I should have read your article sooner, I have been bit by the SCUMBAG!
I am in a legal proceeding that is against Howes and Global-Air.com.
I need to know if you would give me more information and would you
stand by them legally? Also it would be great if you were in Illinois,
but if not...

Plastic knobs for 172? by
[email protected]
I'm looking for the small white plastic knobs (cabin air, etc.) for the
panel on a C-172 C model (1962). I've looked on Plane Plastics, Spruce,
etc. with no luck. I know this has to be a common problem because they're
all cracked and dingy looking, and I've noticed it on other planes as well.

Cincinnati airports and hangar space by
[email protected]
Hi all,
I may be moving to Cincinnati and will need a place to hangar my old
Bonanza.
Anybody know if there is any hangar space available and what the typical
rental prices might be?
Not sure where I'll be living yet, but will probably be working in the
downtown area.

What is a Doyne Apache? by
JAX
I've seen some Apaches listed that are 'Doyne conversions' but I can't
find what the conversion involved, except maybe 180hp engines. I know
about Geronimos, but what exactly makes up a Doyne conversion Apache?

RT-395A transponder by
Steve
My 28V transponder is being very slow to warm up lately and I can get a good
deal on another RT-395A but the guys says it is 14V. What would it take to
make this one work on my system. Thanks

Need help with fuel guage .... by
Dave
OK...a 1976 PA 28 151..
After a few minutes of running, the port guage will start to fall
towards E.
It is showing 3/4 now (fuel at tabs), and will sag to 1/4 within
about 15 min, while I am operating on the starboard (other) tank.
Shut down for a few hours, guage resumes normal (correct)...

Arrow add-on for FS2004 by

Any recommendations on the best Piper Arrow add-on for MSFS2004? I
found a couple with google but the downloads don't seem to work.
Doesn't have to be freeware. Mostly what I want is a reasonably
accurate power model. I have ASA's On Top but the GPS is crummy and
the power model has no...

MD26-28 400Hz inverter - not very reliable by
Tim Shoppa
Peter wrote:
I've had two of the above fail in under 3 years.
I would guess that the failures are related to adverse voltages
coming in or an adverse load on the output. The electrical

Airplane sellers using a broker/dealer by
[email protected]
For those who have sold an airplane before, how do the dealers charge
their
fees for finding a buyer ? 3%, 5%, 10%of the purchase price ? Or a
fixed
amount for a "listed period" ?
I'm most interested in information on commission for planes in the
$100,000 - $200,000 range.

Reinstalling vacuum DG by
Mike Noel
I finally pulled my Mitchell (Edo-Aire?) vacuum DG and sent it off to
Bernard Ducasse for overhaul. For those following the new vs. re-new
debate, I'll let the group know how the overhaul turns out.
After removing the DG, I covered the exposed ends of the vacuum hoses left
dangling in the plane...
