747 Clock Time Base Question by [email protected]
I'm trying to run a Haydon slave clock from a 747 on a bench but I don't have the pulse generating time base. I suspect the pulse voltage is 24 VDC. Can anyone tell me the pulse frequency of this clock system used in the older 747s? Thanks Tom

I've always wondered if this was possible. These look like proof-positive pics (they don't look like fakes). http://www.dauntless-soft.com/PRODUCTS/Freebies/AirForceOne/747lembobo.html Apologies if this was posted before (didn't show up on a Google search however). Marco Leon

747-400 questions by Mxsmanic
Two things bothering me lately: 1. Sometimes when I autostart 2 and 3 after starting 1 and 4, I get an alarm as I pull the start switch or when I pull the start button. However, there's no message on the MFD or anything, so I can't figure out what they aircraft is complaining about. I haven't...

757 avionics by FriarTuck
some questions if anyone knows the answers... is 757 fly by wire or fly by cable? The FMCS has full flight and landing capability, is it a separate control system? The FANS network, is it capable of directing "goto location/altitude" and "set airspeed to K" type commands to the plane?

787 gets off the ground...finally by Ricky
At approx. 12:25 ctd the Boeing 787 Dreamliner lifted off the runway for the first time. I was watching my local news channel during lunch at work and they decided to cut to live coverage of the maiden voyage just as the news was ending. I only saw about 10 seconds of the flight, from liftoff to...

787 wing flex by Kingfish
I noticed in all the publicity pictures of the 787 and 747-8 that the wings flex to the point that the tips are well above the top of the fuselage. Just a guess here, but is this due to the composite construction of the plane? I'm assuming the spar(s) are composite as well as the fuselage barrel....
