DC9-50 and DC9-51 by WM Morgan
What is the difference between a DC9-50 and a DC9-51? Also, I found a photo online of a DC9-51 (Swissair) that is described as the "prototype DC9-51"? The prototype of that model for Swissair? Or is it THE prototype of all DC9-51's?

GPS in overcast and mist by William W. Plummer
My Garmin 12 is not able to get data from any satellites right now. It's 2000 overcast, scattered 5 sm visibility. Normally the GPS works very well in this area with reliable data from about 6 sats. I don't think I want to be in a position where my handheld GPS is my only means of nav.
