Just how good are the latest Russian planes? by
[email protected]
Having seen the Mig 29 and Su 35 up close and personal at an airshow in
South Africa, I was sooooooooo impressed by manouvres such as the 'cobra'
and using the engines to hover dead still in the air, then heaping on the
coals to go ballistic. Their reputation is one of awe and everyone seems...

Kettenkrad towing Me-262 by
Douglas Greville
Hello
I have a German friend who own s a Kettenkrad and he has seen quite

However it says in the pilot's manual and on the nose wheel doors
of the IWM's 262 "Nicht am Bugrad schleppen" (do not tow by the nose
wheel).
So, since...

Dynamic stalling of delta wing a/c (wrt MiG 21) by
drake
Hello,
I was reading on the net that the MiG-21 is a high demand no-nonsense
a/c, and tends to lose control (without the warning buffets as
experienced bu other a/c)
quite easily (during high speed turns??). Is this a MiG-21 phenom, or
do other Delta wing aircraft also have such inhernt control...

Calling Tom Cooper. . . Iran stuff. . by
Drewe Manton
Hi Tom,
Just reading the Osprey Iranian Phantom ops book, and in it you make
reference to IIAF/IDF exchanges. Do you have any more info on this? It kind
of makes sense in terms of the 1970's and the fact the Iranians are
Persians rather than Arabs, but is still the first I've heard of it, and
I'd...

Dudley Henriques
Well folks, after posting a "Merry Christmas" to everyone and having our
thread of good will and friendly exchanges changed over into a discussion
about death threats thanks to our resident loon John Tarver, I thought I
might dig into this a bit deeper since as usual; from Tarver's rantings I
can't...
