Now here's a ride most of us would enjoy. http://www.wimp.com/breathtakingfootage/ That is a flight I'd pay dearly to take.

RONs - NJ -> OSH by Michael Bullock
I'm planning on taking my 4 & 6 year olds to their first Oshkosh. However, I don't think they'll have the stamina or patience to make the trip from my Central NJ location into OSH in one day. Probably would be best to fly a few hours and then do some kid-friendly activity for the rest of the...

Jet Engine Thrust Question by Darkwing
How does rated thrust for a jet engine translate to actual power? I guess my question is, for example, a Cessna Mustang has two engines that produce 1,460 lbs of thrust each (x 2) so the total is 2920 lbs of thrust for the two engines. The takeoff weight for the Mustang is listed as 8,645 lbs....

Embraer Made Pathfinders? by Jay Honeck
Imagine my surprise when I learned today that Embraer, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, built a licensed version of the Piper Cherokee Pathfinder, just like ours, until 1979! See pix he http://makeashorterlink.com/?Q64323A4C The original link is:

Fuel Taxes by john smith
Can anyone verify this? (from NORDO NEWS) WHAT DOES JET FUEL HAVE TO DO WITH FLYING A CHAMP? * Why should you be concerned about the recent addition of a highway tax on jet fuel?** Well, the authorities believe highway operators are buying jet fuel because it is cheaper than diesel (no hwy tax)...

Rare Bird found at Katama [1b2] Martha's Vineyard Island, Mass. by Doug
I see two angles coming on this one.... Damn environmentalists.... 1. Non-native species invades local eco-system, creates trouble for local wildlife. 2. Rare species found now requires protection, close the airfield and 1000 acres of former public land now bird sanctuary.
