Flight test update - long by
nauga
Finding more time to go flying these days, but still less than ideal.
Up to 18 hours so far, with no major problems. I rerigged the tail a
few weeks ago to take care of some of the out-of-balance problem
and an excessive nose-down trim requirement at cruise conditions.
It really helped, so I've cut...

Repeat builder/owners? by
keepitrunning
I've got a TV magazine producer looking for people that have built and
own multiple airplanes. I can think of plenty that have built more
than one - but none of them *own* more than one that they've built.
Can anyone out there in RAH land think of anyone? From the
conversation I've had...

Airship-to-Orbit? by
sanman
Can an airship travel to orbit?
I was surfing at www.jpaerospace.com and they say it can be done.
They have a nice little presentation on PDF that gives a detailed
explanation.
Is it possible that the oldest aerial technology can also be the first
to take the masses to space?

Fly Baby Plans Off the Market by
Ron Wanttaja
Due to an Estate dispute, marketing of the plans for the Bowers Fly Baby

matter, whether they'll ever return.
If you have a set of plans you no longer need, I can help put you in
contact with potential buyers. Also, EAA...

KIP burn salve (Sorta Kinda OT) by
Jim Weir
Back when I was working for the airlines, we used a burn salve called KIP (Kip
Inc, North Hollywood CA) in both the airborne medicine chest and the hangar
toolboxes. It was distributed by an outfit called Swift Laboratories (also in
NH CA).
It is the greatest thing since sliced bread and bottled...

Alternate turbine fuel by
Robert Bates
Yeah, I know I'm going to get flamed
I have read a lot recently about people burning everything from bio-diesel
and straight french fry grease to used ATF in ground based diesel engines
but what about flying turbines? I am quite sure that they would burn either
at ground level but will these...

Question about center-line push-pull engine configuration by
Shin Gou
Hello all,
I am currently brainstorming/daydreaming of a twin design. I would
choose a pair of Rotax 912 or Jabiru 2200 or 3300. Considering the
place configuration of two engines on a twin, I am just wondering what
are the pros and cons of center-line push-pull design. There're far
less such...
