1942 DC-3 / C-47 on eBay by Michael 182
For about 25% of the cost of a new Skylane or Cirrus you can have a 1942 C-47 that saw combat in WWII. Of course, the maintenance and fuel prices might be a little steep - not to mention finding a hanger big enough to hold the plane. Still, wouldn't it be cool to land at some out of the way...

Fix for too bright GPS display by Jon Woellhaf
On several flights at night, I found my Garmin GPSMAP 295's display didn't dim enough to suite me, so I finally decided to try to fix the problem. I went to a local professional photographer's store and bought a packet of neutral density filter material for a few bucks. It had 0.3, 0.6 and...

Brakes? by WingFlaps
Simple question, when refuelling should brakes be on or off (for a light plane)? I've been told both answers with logical reasons for both. What should I do??? Cheers

PIREP - Planes of Fame, Chino, California [long] by Casey Wilson
Had some relatives in from Alaska last week. Al, a commercial fisherman on Kodiak Island, shares ownership of a 150HP Super Cub on floats with one of his sons. They use the airplane occasionally to spot fish when the boat is working close enough to land to make it worth while. In advance of the...

http://www.easypolicy.info/ - Download the free video and picks of Mesothelioma Melodie naked! Strange but true, many men find a sexy clothed woman more arousing than a fully naked woman. To Glass or Not To Glass... by [email protected]
I'm starting the process of shopping for an airplane. I'm thinking of buying one in 2 to 3 months. I want a cross country plane that can carry 2 people and baggage/camping gear, and sometimes 4 people with light baggage. As a computer geek I'm very enamoured with the new glass cockpits, and I'm...

Helicopter Buzzes Wal-Mart by [email protected]
I was shopping at a Wal-Mart on December 17, 2004, when I noticed outside a helicopter flying just over the tops of the parked vehicles in front of the store. It was flying towards me, about 20 feet above the ground and climbing. I got a photograph of it when it was about 50 to 70 feet in the air....

NOTAM: low level IFR pending by a[_3_]
My grandson, on the cusp of not taking Santa seriously, asked me about him. He knows a little about aviation slang so I told him that IFR means I fly reindeer and that it's a special thing the FAA allows at low levels only one night a year, and that at low level it's not a threat to other airplanes...
