Sectional Chart Question by
Teranews
A pilot recently asked me a question, that I cannot find the answer to.
On a sectional chart, around cities, are yellow areas.
What are they?
Where on the legend can this be found?
My answer was "congested areas of a city or town" which I though sounded

Fatal Injury: hit by the prop by
[email protected]
I'm a student pilot and I fly out of Chandler, AZ. I thought that I
would post this accident because I have read reports posted by others,
and I always find them valuable as a reminder of safety. This plane is
a rental at my FBO and I have flown it quite a few times, so that makes
this extra scary....

Recently I dug up an article from some magazine concerning the Tenerife

Runway demolition at Meigs continues by
David Reinhart
The demolition of the runway at Meigs continued this morning, starting
at about 0630. I knew something was about to happen because the Alder
Planetarium camera has been off-line for a while. So long, Meigs.
We'll miss you.

Can someone ID this airplane? by

Can someone ID this airplane?

No, not the gyro in front of it, the plane behind the gyro with the
twin boon. Three brownie point to the first enthusiast able to ID
this plane.
Thanks,
Wil

Is it colder at the approach end of the runway? by
Chris W
My dad drives along the south side of OKC to work every day and his OAT
in his car always goes a few degrees colder around the where the
extended centerline for the runways would intersect the road. Then it
goes right back up after he is through that area. He thinks this is
because the...
