I -didn't- hear that by Harry K
Listening to the news this noon. Small antique plane crashes at Pullman Airport (Pullman, WA) "they felt something was wrong when landing so took off to burn off some fuel, crashed upon landing". Yes, that is what the reporter said, it is as direct a quote as I can recall. Apparently only minor...

Which plane for 5 small pax? by Adam Aulick
I have the opposite problem from the usual "four seats doesn't mean four pax" problem -- I'm looking for an aircraft with typical four-place load (and price) to carry five small passengers and minimal baggage. What aircraft are out there on the used market (including hombuilts!) which can safely,...

In Contemplation While Doing a Wet Layup on a Plastic Homebuilt Airplane by jls
Here is a link to the skinny on killing lawyers, which I ain't been for years, but it still is in my blood. It is plain fun reading, esp if you like Wm. Shakespea http://www.scu.edu/law/FacWebPage/Peterson/Links/shakespeare/shakespeare.htm l Hint: Ol' Shax, like Dickens, was skilled in the...

Autogas and high end engines by John Skorczewski
I am new to this group. I know that many low hp engines can get an autogas stc. My question is this: How hard is it to run autogas in 200+ hp engines- say 200 to 300 hp? Both physically and legally?

Have you ever seen/made such a flying handcraft? by Qingpei Hu
Hi, Dear All, I have alwaying been thinking to make a light, tiny, paper(or some other light material) butterfly, that could fly with flapping his wings by some mechanical power engine(like clockwork spring or elasic, or else). While I was a child, I liked playing paper-plane very much. I...

Newbie question on Rate of Climb by Wright1902Glider
LOL! Correct me if I'm wrong, but anything that could climb at 60,000 per minute would probably be powered by a big-ass rocket engine and piloted by someone named Yeager, Crossfield, Glenn, etc... Excepting of course for Burt Rutan's ship. All of us poor-boy hang-glider pilots use electronic...

Financing a homebuilt by John Skorczewski
Any thoughts on how to finance a homebuilt airplane? I`m thinking about building an rv-10. From what I have heard, expect to pay at least $100,000 (I`m betting it will be more!!!) for a completed plane with 260 hp engine and decent avionics. I don`t know about anyone else, but I don`t have that...
