Christen Eagle Inspection Help by
[email protected]
Hi all,
I'm travelling to the US from the UK in a couple of weeks time in an
attempt to buy an Eagle.
Although I can do a preliminary inspection, I would feel far happier
having either an Eagle experienced engineer or an existing Eagle owner
to help inspect the prospective aircraft.
If an...

Christen Fuel Pump troubleshooting by
ShawnD2112
Hello, folks. I'm fishing to see if anyone else here's had the same problem
I'm having.
I've got a Pitts S-1D with a Christen wobble fuel pump. The action on it
has gotten so stiff when priming that I fear it's close to locking up. It
still primes fine and the fuel pressure's good when the...

Citabria aerobatic harness by
Ed Wild
My 1969 7KCAB is fitted with non-folding seats, and military aerobatic
harness front and rear. Recently I acquired a replacement folding seat
to take the place of the existing fixed, one-piece model in the rear.
I'm aware of AD 81-16-04 dated July 1981, which calls for a
supplemental Acro Harness...

Citabria Pro (N5143T) ? by
joerg
The current condition and location of the aircraft are unknown. A
recent search of the FAA N number database list the Pro's N number
(N5143T) as reserved, with no aircraft assigned to the number. A
search of the NYSB aviation accident database can find no accident
involving N5143T.
Does anybody...

Citabria with gyros by
Bob Esser
After long consideration, I have decided on the type of plane to
purchase: A Citabria 7ECA. What led me to this decision was the
following desire. I want to be a part time instructor and I think the
perfect niche for me is roving tailwheel and spin trainer for the flight
schools in my area. I...

cloth helmet by
Yann D.
Hi
Anyone could help me finding a light cloth helmet for my standard
"clark-like" headset ?
I have made something efficient but ugly with clips from an old mtb
helmet. There are nice leather helmets on the web but often circa $200
which is definitely too much for the thing, and anyway will not...

Compression Tests by
Doug
Does anyone do an "automotive" type compression test on their aircraft
engine? I think this kind of "dynamic" test might show problems (such
as valves not opening all the way), that a leakdown test would not
(and vice-versa). Anyway my annual is coming up and I want to do it. I
imagine something...

Decathlon engine managment-> power off spins by
max
What's the best way to manage the engine during the recovery from a
power off spin into another maneuver in a plane like the Super Decatlon
with constant speed prop?
If I have the RPM set to 2400 before reducing power for the stall/spin,
need I worry about overspeeding the engine by adding the...

Descent at Minimum Safe Airspeed by
w3n-a
http://w3n-a.blogspot.com/2008/11/descent-at-minimum-safe-airspeed.html
Too fast a glide during the approach for landing invariably results in
floating over the ground for varying distances, or even overshooting,
while too slow a glide causes undershooting, flat approaches, and hard
touchdowns. A...

Detached Retina and acrobatics by
[email protected]
Any opinions or referrals to informaiton about the (in)advisability of
acrobatics (perhaps even limited to positive, 6G) after having a
detached retina repaired? 55 years old and no obvious reason for the
detachment (although the doctor thought Judo and acrobatics probably
didn't help :)
