Question for controllers by
Capt.Doug
In your controller training, are situations addressed concerning aircraft
which request priority but do not declare an emergency? Is there any
guidance in the Controllers' Handbook?

Airbus QC by

"Airbus recently discovered some ribs near the engine pylon spar box that
might not have received the necessary extensive heat-treatment in production

As was pointed out to me the Beechcraft Baron does not use contra-rotating

do
not use them either.
My question is why?

Yaw control in a tandem rotor helo? by
Capt.Doug
"Richard Riley" wrote in message
In a 2 rotor helicopter you are countering the torque of one rotor
with the other rotor. But how do you do a pedal turn?
But what do you do in a tandem, like a CH-46? Increase
the pitch, you get more torque, but you also get more lift, so the
aircraft...

What a week.. by

Thanks to my employer's competition who was mentioned profusely on CNN

of my trip were evening trips that turned into night trips. Wednesday night
had me landing at Logan at 2:30 AM. The approach was a roller coaster....

Ft. Lauderdale has fog about 2 days per year. Wouldn't you know it but on
the way down to a foggy FLL, one of 500 zillion computers on the

I'm writing this while cruising at FL370, staring at a bright half-moon

the sky tonight. I have my laptop sitting on a pull-out tray in front of me

I didn't post to the wrong group. Playboy Magazine's Miss May 2004 should be
