Fuel Guages by
Mike Rapoport
I just bought a Helio Courier and the fuel guages (actually one guage with a
four position switch) don't work very well. Since different tanks seem to
work differently I assume that the problem is in the sender or the wiring.
Where should I start? does anybody know what the resistance range...

High Oil Pressure at FT by
Mike Spera
Ever since getting the overhauled engine (Lycoming 0-320-E3D), I have
high oil pressure at full throttle for the runup and takeoff. I don't
recall it ever making it to the red line until the last year or so and I
have put 800 hours on it. It was always just below the red line at the
first (0...

Updated Oshkosh Frequencies by
RST Engineering
I just had an email from a feller that used my Oshkosh frequency list and he
said:
133.85 and 126.6 both seem to be used by the Warbirds Airboss. Those
will let you know when explosions are coming.
If anybody has any more updates, I'm ready to take them and refresh the
list.

do appliances have type certificates? by
Dave[_16_]
Do appliances such as fuel pumps, vacuum pumps, altimeters, gyros, etc
have type certificates?
I know that engines, airframes and propellers have them. I can find
those on the FAA website.
thanks
Dave

Ameri-King by
Ross
Has anyone done much business with Ameri-King? I purchased a brand new
ELT from them (via Aircraft Spruce) last week and it came in with a
defective ARM/OFF/ON switch. It would not stay in the ARM position. I
overnighted it to Ameri-King for repair/replacement. I just got off the
phone and they...

Tyeing down near the sea. by
Victor
I used to keep my C172 in a Hangar on a relatively dry region. Now I
had to move and the airport closest to home is near the sea and there
is no hangar space available. There are a few things that concern me:
How to best protect the plane against corrosion considering the
circustances? I have...

Flight planning software the accounts for winds ? by
Mike Granby
FlightStar will do wind-aware routing and you can then look at the
various atltitude options for time, cost and fuel burn. It's not 100%
automatic, but it works great for my needs.

Maybe 36" vertical and 9" from rear seat front to middle seat back.
