Right prop, wrong prop? Wood prop, metal prop? by
Gus Rasch
Group,
Two different questions. Looking for your input.
#1
Flew my S1S with an O-360 180hp and swinging a metal Sensenich prop
76-56. This combination has always been easy to overspeed the engine.
On climb out at full throttle I have to maintain 85 mph indicated or
it will exceed 2700 rpm. In...

Aerobatics in Toronto area? by
pigpen
We have four Pitts S-2B's at CYSH, 25nm southwest of Ottawa,
Ontario. We're more in the airshow business than the flight
training business, but if there's anything we can do to help,
let us know.

Accident site found: Landing gear from Bulldog? by
SEG
Hi.
I'm new to this list and I am not a pilot.
On a recent hike in Northern California, our group stumbled upon an
aviation accident site. The wreckage included part of a wing and
part of a landing gear. No tail number was evident. We notified
the forest rangers, but I am not yet convinced that...

How long are our re packs good for? by
Viperdoc[_6_]
I saw in either Flying or AOPA Pilot that the FAA has passed the request so
that our chute packs are now good for 180 and not 120 days.
When does it take effect? Is my pack that just expired actually still good?
TIA

noise pollution from private planes by
[email protected]
I live in a relatively quiet city, until recently. A flight school
opened up across the bay from me, and all day long, all I can hear
outside are these private plane motor noises.
It is really awful. It is like having a gas powered lawn mower
above me all day long. As one plane leaves, another one...

Hickory NC Airport Flight Pattern by
HBYardSale
I'm looking at a house that is about 1 mile north of the airport -- right in
the flight path of the north-south runway.
I would like to find out how many planes a day fly in/out of the airport and
typically how many of these use the N-S runway.
Any help or a referral would be greatly appreciated.

Roll over Beethoven, tell McCartney the news... by

The most important article you have ever read
"THE BEATLES CAUSED THE DISINTEGRATION OF MANKIND”
The Rock revolution happened in the Sixties (6, number of the Beast). It
came from Liverpool, which was the port base to the Titanic, destroyed by
God because of the arrogant insult of Captain Smith...

Older Decathlon - airframe abuse? by
[email protected]
Me and couple buddies are considering buying a early 80's model 8KCAB
but I am a little worried about doing sportsman level aerobatics in a
plane that old. Not having owned a plane before I was wondering if
anyone on the group have experience with older decathlons and how they
hold up to that type...
