Modern Glider by
JJ21
Hi all,
I'm currently doing a project on gliders designed within the last ten years and one of the crucial aspects is knowing the mean camber profile for various lift coefficient calculations. I was wondering whether
a) Any modern gliders are using NACA type airfoils?
b) Whether anyone knows...

little while later he told us to squawk...

Wiring in a KI 214 by
apachearmtguy
Hello everyone. I am upgrading my nav indicator from a KI 211C to a KI 214 and I have all the wires accounted for in the connector swap except for 2: G/S energize and the .05 Mhz control. Can anyone tell me where these would originate from? I do not have autopilot. Thanks!

An open letter to Illinois Attorney General, Lisa Madigan by
BEEPER708
In a quick news email that was released the other night by Crain's Chicago
Business, it stated that you called the secret meeting of the CTA Board in
where they underhandedly raised their pensions in a closed meeting, Illegal.
The Chicago Sun-Times stated that Mr. Frank Kruesi, CTA President...

Burning Question (737) by
Zomby Woof
Why is it, in all the pictures I've ever seen of any version of the 737,
that Boeing STILL doesn't cover up the main wheels?
Maybe the latest model (-800?) does...if so, I stand corrected.

What is cabin air pressure set at by
scm
In a commercial airline, I realize that the cabin is pressureizd, but I know
that it is not kept at a sea level pressure. What effective "altitude" is
the passenger cabin kept at? Is it the same for all air liners?
The reason I am asking is that I have to use a CPAP machine to breath while
I...

ATC Tape by
Steffen Braasch
Good Morning,
perhaps somebody can help my here.
I´m looking for the ATC sound-file of the 1982 British Airways All
Engine Flame Out Incident . Especially the Mayday call.
I could use that very good for a small, non commercial presentation in
my classroom.

Stall Warning - AofA by
Brian Whatcott
One of the design features of the Cessna 150 that I admired most is the
stall warning. It is a small aperture in the lower curve of the leading
edge guarded by a wire screen (those pesky flies!) The cavity connects
to a tube leading to the wing root in the cabin. There, covering the
other end...

What's your avorite airliner? by
james_anatidae
In an effort to get some on-topic messages in RTA, I ask "What is your
favorite airliner"? I remember a UA A320 I flew on a couple years ago to be
quite pleasant.
(And I ask if any of the many local trolls answer this message, you others
please don't encourage them.)
