Lycoming Cad model by
steve mahoney
I'm looking for a 3d cad model of a Lycoming engine. O-360 preferred
but other Lycoming models (0-320, 0-235, IO-360, IO-320) would work as
well. File format IGS, STP, Sat, or others... I can translate flies
developed on other cad system. This could save me a lot of work.
Anyone out there know...

The Doctor Says: Flying and Homebuilding Are Privileges, NOT Rights by
jls
I asked the doctor, who performs flight physicals why so many questions on a
form to determine whether a pilot is physically fit to fly. Specifically I
asked him why Big Brother had to know about a pilot's record of
misdemeanors, like for example a youthful offense of simple trespass,
affray, or...

conventional winged thingys).....
And it quickly becomes obvious that staying under that 250 pound or so limit
aint easy...
So, so the gas tanks (like everything else on an ultralight) doesn' t really
inspire...

Aircraft Rebuilding Help Needed. by
David Culbertson
During a terrible Midwest storm a couple weeks ago we had straight line
winds exceeding 80 MPH. At the airport where I store my aircraft the hangar
doors were blown off and a neighboring aircraft and a hangar door ended up
on top of my 1929 Great Lakes. Three of the four wing panels are in need...

Stolp Starduster 1 help needed by
bill
I purchased a Starduster 1 and disassembled it to bring it home. Now
I need information on how to rig the flying wires, etc.
Also, the main gear wheels have a lot of "tow-in." Is this normal for
a Starduster? Any help you can give will be appreciated. Thanks,
Bill

This is the Man Who Raised me by

There was a tragic incident in our family six days ago. My father who
was suffering from diabetes, palsy, lower back disk dehydration and
depression decided to end his life. He was scheduled for a hip
replacement operation on Monday. We all were planning a big party for
his 80th birthday which...

Real Costs of operation by
Mike
I'm trying to get a good objective reading on what the actual hourly
cost is to operate a Kitfox, Avid, or RANS type aircraft with a Rotax
912/14 and 582. I know what it is to overhaul the engines, but I need
feedback from someone who has actually recorded the information and
can give me imperical...

Good plans-built Light Sport Aircraft by
Rob Schneider
Having been a lurker on this site for a while, I'm not sure what I'll
get as a response to this post, but here goes:
I have a long term plan to get a PPL and build a plane for cross
country travel (from South Dakota to Idaho, so it would involve flying
over the Rockies). Maybe a Dyke Delta, but...

Wet Vacuum Pumps by
DBlumel
Is anyone besides me using a wet vacuum pump out there. If so how are you
dealing with the oil output? Do you have an air/oil separator just for it? I
tried tying it into my Christen inverted oil system separator but that does not
work because of the large air volume, (high pressure) from the...

Test Prop Question by
Dick
I'm about ready to test run my Corvair engine and finally
realized the old VW prop laying in the hanger wouldn't
work bolt pattern-wise even though both rotate in the
same direction (opposite of Continental/Lycomings).
My question is "what can I use temporarily"?
I have an old Continental wood...
