C-121 HEEELPPP! by
Jeff Franks
I am attempting to have a C-121 Constellation model made for my father for
Christmas. He was an ECM operator "backender" in the mid-60's in VQ-2. He
has sent me several pictures of the Connie in the past, but only one in the
VQ-2 paint scheme as he flew them. His description and the black &...

Wobble pump Handle?? by
jerry wass
I just acquired a WW-II Wobble pump(D-2) and would like to make a handle
for it--can anyone steer me to a picture of one WITH HANDLE ?
I have already broached an 8" length of 3/4 SQ aluminum to fit
the shaft---I'd just like to make it similar to an
original pump handle. Thanx Jerry

Props by

Borrowed from a tagline on another group:
What most people do not understand about aircraft is that the
propeller does not actually provide any thrust; it is there to cool
the pilot. This is easy to prove -- just watch how much the pilot
starts to sweat if it stops.

Time travel by
Jim
We haven't played with this for some time now. Seeing as how we have
newer members let's see how this plays out.
You have the opportunity to travel back to the '50s, '60's, '70s'. You
may select any airframe of that era and "rebuild" it with modern
engines, avionics, etc. The basic dimensions...

Side slip by
Jim
For any of you who flew in Keflavik you are aware of the horrendous cross
winds we often had there. Turns out that Airbus used KEF recently to
qualify the A380. Check out the video for details. The video narrative
is in Icelandic but I'm certain you won't need it to judge what is going
on.

Other forces testing US aircraft by
Jim
Over the years there have been several articles online and in print
regarding aircraft from the former Warsaw Pact brought to the USA for
testing. Some even seeing use in dissimilar exercises.
What I've never heard of though is the Russians or Chinese, (others?)
doing the same with our equipment....

Thanks to all our readers and contributors we've outlasted the groups
