Competition for Trade-A-Plane launched tonight by Montblack
Trade-A-Plane (TAP) has some new competition I learned tonight. If you own an airplane AND are a pilot, you will receive a (FREE) subscription to a new buying guide, Aircraft Owner (AO). I think the first Vol. went out tonight. 125,000 copies shipped. Take that TAP. http://www.aircraftowner.com/

Eclipse 500 Direct Operating Cost by Bravo8500
Does anybody know if the .69 per statute mile as posted on eclipseaviation.com includes engine reserve? Also, going by the trip profiles on the website, it looks like the cost would be a lot higher on shorter trips... like the .69 is based on a max range trip, any ideas? Jeff A36

Portable oxygen system test/overhaul by Ben Jackson
Where can I get an old Scott Executive Mark III oxygen system hydro tested and serviced? I have one I'd like to buy cannulas for and fill but I don't know anything about its history. Portland, OR area would be best... If I have to ship that brick I might be better off buying new. -- Ben...

Buying an older airplane by Kai Glaesner
Hello community, imagine you consider byuing an older airplane, e.g. a Piper from the Pa-28 Arrow series: is there an age (or a year of birth ;-) you would not exceed? If yes, for what reason (e.g. may be that corrosion-protection was not usual before that year, or that copper was so expensive,...

Stall warning switch for Cessna 206? by [email protected]
We need to replace the stall warning switch on our Cessna-206. Cessna wants over $1100 for what is a $5 Honeywell Micro Switch #7834, some metal face plates and "certification". I've tried Air Parts and several other online parts houses. Other suggestions? Used is OK!

2006 Annual -- My 8th "Owner-Assisted" Inspection by Jay Honeck
So, our '74 Pathfinder (Cherokee 235) is back in for annual -- its fifth one with us -- and I spent the day working with my mechanic on my 8th "owner-assisted" annual inspection. A few previously known squawks have been addressed: 1. The ELT. It barely passed last year, and this year it didn't...

More on CHT probe replacement by Jim Burns
I've been researching how to replace an old AC Spark Plug CHT probe in our Aztec. AC doesn't make them anymore and the replacement Rochester brand probe operates at a different resistance range requiring the gauge to be removed, shipped out and recalibrated. Not a fun proposition. Rumor, and a...

Hey Guys, I'm in plane-search mode after recently passing my check flight. One of the number one uses I want for the aircraft is to be able to make VFR flights up to Tahoe in the winter for ski trips (hopefully regularly, as the weather permits). As such, I have a pretty basic question-

SR-22 in northern NJ? by Guy Elden Jr.
