Jose
Anybody been there recently? Is fuel available? I tried calling them
but the number no longer works, and AirNav doesn't have any info.

what I was told about ''them'' by
Peter Lucas
I was once told by somone that there are two main categories of
techniques the TV statians uses to manipulate people. I dont remember
if there are technical or proper words or names for each of them.
The 1st way is the ''direct'' aproach when the TV ''tells people what
the heck to do''; eg; ''dont...

Fuel and alcohol by
Robert M. Gary
We've been talking about the dangers of running MOGAS that containa
alcohol I thought this was interesting. I bought a new weed eater a few
months ago and let it sit for a few months. Now it will not start and
the shop is saying the alcohol they are putting in mogas nowadays is
cloging up the fuel...

Is it really called a "can"... by
Tman
Or are the guys at the FBO just f'ing with me?
The thing with the keys, paperwork, hobbs logs, etc. for a rental aircraft.
What's the origin of this term? Google searches lead to nothing but other
senses of the word "can" and online slang / dictionaries have nothing
either.
Is it an acronym? ...

Link to B-777 upset? by
Capt.Doug
In the recent Airbus nose gear thread, someone posted a link to a report
about a B-777 fly-by-wire upset. I can't find it now and am asking if
someone can bring up the link to this report.
TIA,
D.

We recently bought a 396 for our bonanza and had it panel mounted. It
was on the right side of the panel and when in the pilots seat, none of
the lakes, rivers and section boundaries would be visible. There is
some kind of polarization effect in the display screen that cuts the
colors used for...

Frederick, MD Tower Lobbying by

Apparently, there is a move at Frederick Airport in Maryland to build a Tower facility for it.
I don't fly there. A good friend just got his ticket there last fall.
During his training and since, he figures he's had 4 or 5 "close calls" with traffic.
One he figured he was about 10 seconds from at...
