G1000 simulator by
[email protected]
I purchased the Raytheon G36 trainer software from Garmin. After
attaching a new Saitek Cyborg Evo and verifying the controls, I gave it
a try. The heading only seems to change when the rudder is activated:
banks leave the heading unchanged. Anyone else have this problem?
Also, even with a heading...

Rate of turn indicator on commercial jets (Boeing / Airbus) by
Mark
Hi all,
I am familiar with the inclinometer and turn co-ordinator of the
Cessna and how to use it to establish the correct bank angle for a
standard rate turn. Regardless of the IAS, I can perform a standard
rate turn by setting a bank angle that matches the standard rate turn
on the turn...

Turning down airport lights in FS2004 by
Marc
I notice in a number of flight simultors that the airports tend to be lit up
far brighter than they are in real life. In FS2004 you can pick out the
airport pretty easily by the spot green light or runway lights that kind of
jump out of the scenary. In real life it is much more subtle, especially...

Abacus Airbus A380 add on. by
Deputy Dog
Anyone use this with FS2004??
I loaded it on mine & although it works ok i find the resolution totally
rubbish. I run FS2004 at 1280x1024 & the graphics card is a 256mb GF 6800GT
on AGP8X.
Anyone else had this add on on their sim with the same results??

Buffet modeling in FS2004 by
Joseph Brown
It has been suggested over the years, for the sake of realism, that
Microsoft should also model Interior Turbulence in the virtual cockpit of
FS2004. This never happened.
As many suggested, the virtual cockpit should not stay perfectly still all
the time, it should shake and jerk around just a...

FS2004 tail draggers - no rudder pedals - what do I do?? by
Hogarth Kramer
Ok, I think the new planes in FS2004 are awesome, but as a person with
a CH yoke and no rudder pedals, how do I get them off the ground?? I
have auto-rudder enabled in my realism settings, I've tried
differential braking, all to no avail. I just can't seem to get these
things to turn while on the...

FSUIPC problem on an FS9 Vista installation. by
Chris Hall
I have installed FS9 on a new computer with a Vista operating system.
It works reasonably well apart from the fact that when I select FSUIPC from
MODULES all I get is a black screen until I press Esc or Alt.
Any ideas, guys?

Ground steering and Takeoffs by
webmaster
Every time I apply full thorttle the plane tends to go to the left, it
doesn't matter if it is a 747 or a cessna, they both show the same behavior.
Rudder Pedals are calibrated, wind is 0. what could be the problem?

pc ideas? by
derFlieger
I've purchased ms century of flight. I've tried running it on my ibm
laptop - 256 memory - but not sure if it was the computer or the cheap
joystick - it just did not respond well to inputs - seemed slow.
I'm considering getting a tower pc - used, or build my own. Can
someone give me ideas as to...

Detail pops in too late in FS2004 by
CatharticF1
I have pretty much everything maxxed out, and there performance and
graphics generally are very nice.
But (there's always a but..) is there some way I can make the higher
resolution terrain (mesh and texture) and terrain objects appear further
out from the camera?

FS2004 by
Damien Booth
Hi,
I was just browsing this news group and noticed that FS2004 is now
available. Yes I know I'm probably a little the times.
Anyway, I've been using FS2002 for over a year now and I think it's great,
but no doubt FS2004 is going to be better. The question is how much better
and is it worth going...

Interfacing w/ real life instruments by
[email protected]
Hi. I'm not actually making a simulator, but I'm trying to use some
instruments (landspeed indicator and altimeter) I bought off of ebay
in another project, and I thought this would be the best place to ask
my question.
Basically I'm using an arduino microcontroller board to control the
gauges...
