You can buy a cheap multimeter at radio shack for about 10 bucks. Put it
on continuity and you are good to go. I know it is not as fun as building
it yourself. Just think of it as a kit with one part.

Overhaul information by
Jerry Jesion
I was wondering exactly which parts are generaly NOT replaced in an
engine overhaul. Assume all new cylinders/pistons/rings/pushrods. I
know that the crank is often not replaced if it checks to spec, and
the cam may be reground and replaced but what about other parts? Are
the con rods usually...

Would like to talk with an insurance underwriter..... by
[email protected]
Are there any aviation insurance underwriters on the group?
I'd like to understand better the factors that go into insuring a
customer.
For example, I put in a claim for damages which occured during
training, when I was not the PIC. I'd like to understand if the
insurance underwriter is looking...

Flight planning software the accounts for winds ? by
Mike Granby
FlightStar will do wind-aware routing and you can then look at the
various atltitude options for time, cost and fuel burn. It's not 100%
automatic, but it works great for my needs.

WTB a TRT250 by

Honest to gosh. I want to buy a TRT250 (the pushbutton transponder).
Working condition not important.
Reason - I want a second so that I can use them as a matched pair
of wheel chocks - really.

Would anyone know (and care to tell me) where to find the power ports
found these days on airliners? I'd like to replace the cigarette

Thanks.

Ever since getting the overhauled engine (Lycoming 0-320-E3D), I have
high oil pressure at full throttle for the runup and takeoff. I don't
recall it ever making it to the red line until the last year or so and I
have put 800 hours on it. It was always just below the red line at the

I used to keep my C172 in a Hangar on a relatively dry region. Now I
had to move and the airport closest to home is near the sea and there
is no hangar space available. There are a few things that concern me:
How to best protect the plane against corrosion considering the
circustances? I have...
