Good news! I talked to AC Williams (the former owner of SW Soaring.
and former 1-26 Champion pilot) this morning, and was gratified to hear
that he was feeling well now, and has stopped having to undergo chemo 4
months ago. He is getting his hair back now, and is even considering
updating his...

Outlandings Austria, Inn valley by
Jean
Hello
Preparing a camp in Samedan - Looking at the excellent
http://www.aussenlandefelder.org/ I was surprised to find nothing in the
Inn valley east of Imst and Innsbruck area. It is unlandable - or so easy
that there is no need to reference anything ?
Thanks for advice

I'd be interested to know how many Pegasus are for sale in the US ? I'm

LS 22 by
Jean-Marc Franssen
Hi all.
I have in my computer a video file with a nice soundtrack.
A singer with a guitar sings a song in a style that sounds like American
Folk Song to me and that goes like this:
Have you heard the latest news
That the LS 22's
Will have nothing on their panel but a screen
That will the latest...

Glider acro video (from the inside!) by
Jeff
This is big (~30MB, ~10min), and not the best quality (shot on analog
15 years ago!) but fun anyway. Google for "shrager" and "stemme", find
"aero" on the (hopefully unique) page.
Cheers,
'Jeff

Expat Retirement with soaring? by
Jeff Bures
Hi all,
First post here (at least in 20 years).
I'm a US citizen with private power and sailplane ratings. I'm contemplating retirement in a few years. One possible plan is to spend several years of it as an expat somewhere the cost of living is less than the USA. Parts of Europe, Asia,...

FLARM in USA? by
Jeff Bures
I gather that FLARM is much more popular outside of the USA. Are most well equipped sailplanes installing FLARM in the USA? What about other GA aircraft in the USA?
Is FLARM more common (or a necessity) at competitions in the USA? For club and casual cross-country soaring, it might be less...

AHRS and competition/badges/records/OLC ? by
Jeff Bures
Hi all,
I'm bored. I'm without a sailplane. I'm planning for my retirement, which is still some years away. I hope it will include some OLC, casual competitions, badge, or regional record attempts probably limited to the USA. It could possibly include a homebuilt or refurbished sailplane.
As...

Log Book - Yawn! by
Jeff Bures
Hi all. Over the years I've always been disappointed by my soaring log books. I have the standard SSA long/skinny with 10 flights per page, and tiny little spaces to write details. The print is so small I can barely read most it. Forget trying to read the notes and signatures of my instructors....
