IBOT T-Shirts by
[email protected]
Several years ago I purchased several IBOT (International Brotherhood
of Tow Pilots) T-Shirts from a booth at the SSA Convention. I have not
seen the shirts at the last 2 or 3 conventions. Anyone have a lead on
where to purchase--or who to contact?
Thanks & Happy New Year--

Glider Video Facing Backwards by
[email protected]
Our club (http://skysoaring.com) owns a ex-military L-19/O-1 "Bird
Dog". Nice and powerful two seat-er.
It has one other interesting attribute. Due to it being an
observation plane, the rear stick can be removed and the rear seat
back repositioned so that the passenger can face backwards. This...

Cambridge L-Nav problem -- runaway vario by
jherzog
I have a nagging, recurring problem with my trusty L-Nav. Occasionally, when I power the unit on, the lift tone sounds constantly, and the vario display is pegged at maximum lift (10 kts). It's clear that the problem is with the L-Nav, and not the electric vario display, as the tone continues to...

String in the middle does not protect you from a spin by
Jim
I think the recent threads on spinning have been wonderful. I find
them a great help to focusing on such an important issue.

coordinated flight, with the yaw string kept carefully in the middle,
does not guarantee against spin entry....

Dr Jack's BLIPMAPS by
Jim
I came across Dr Jack's BLIPMAP forecast page
http://www.drjack.net/BLIPMAP/NE/index.html
Probably a lot of good information if you know how to use it (and some very
pretty maps), but also not exactly intuitive and slightly overwhelming.
Anybody find good use of this material, and in an orderly...
