Propeller dyno by
Ernest Christley
A while back, someone posted design information for creating a square
'propeller' that could be used for determining the actual power produced
by the engine. I've since changed computers and have lost the
posting, and I've not been able to locate it with Google's search engine.
Does anyone...

We're at the air races and between myself and the many visitors to the
Hangar Talk Message Board ( http://aafo.com/hangartalk/ ) we're
getting a bit of the flavor of the event...
No time to post up any shots here but there is a growing number at the
board and on some of the updates I've...

Making a pitch trim indicator for a Glasair by
[email protected]
I have a Glasair 1 FT with the newer style trim system that uses a trim
wheel connected to a gear train that winds and unwinds stainless steel
control cable and adjusts the relative tension of springs bias the
elevator up and down. This system works well in flight. The existing
indicator was a...

Snobird Gyro by
Joaquin Murrieta
Oh, by the way, go to: http://www.geocities.com/bwbpilot/ and see
Kevin Morris and I flying my Snobird. I have to sell it I think. I
just have too much stuff in my hangars down there. I'm in this thing
about $12,000 and I'm going to sell it for about $8500 if anyone knows
someone who might...

A question came up over pizza the other night.
What are the tax consequenes of selling a homebuilt?
Assume we know how much the raw materials cost.

Assume the homebuilt is worth $200K

Which Project would be best? by
Tim Hickey
I have a question for the group. I am feeling the need to start
another homebuilt project. I have a Zenith CH-300 that I first flew in
1988, and it has been a fine ship.
My ideal project would be as follows:
Must meets the Light Sport Aircraft requirements:
Cruse speed is somewhere close to 108...

Cuyuna engine by
Andy Asberry
I came across an old Kohler manual for a 2 stroke engine. It looks
surprisingly like a Cuyuna. Kohler says that engine design was sold
many years ago.
Does anyone know of a connection?

instrument sizes by
Bill Chernoff
Can anyone provide a diagram of a 2 1/4 inch instrument cutout? I found one
for the 3 1/8, but not the smaller size.
I've googled and googled again...
Thanks in advance.

Marking sheetmetal by
Michael Horowitz
I want to mark sheetmetal for bending.
Can't use a scribe because I'll weaken the metal.
Magic Marker is too thick.
Pencil doesn't show.

Continental O-200 ? by
Stealth Pilot
I noticed in another post that the Continental O-200 is back in new
manufacture again.
Are there any links to the price of the new engine and the
specification differences between the old O-200 that I fly with and
would like to replace and the new O-200 LSA engine?
I spent an hour probing the TCM...

Grounding metal parts in wooden/composite aircraft by
Garry O'Leary
I purchased the RST antenna kit last year (great value) and have a
question relating to grounding all the significant metal parts. I wish
to operate an ADF in a wooden/composite aircraft. I note that any wire
will do (e.g. tin-plated Cu grounding strap and/or Cu tape). My
question is how do you...
