looking for a project by
Dave[_16_]
I was thinking more about displaying encoder information or digital
airspeed or getting information from multiple instruments and taking
that data and giving the operator some useful/different data than is
typically not available to the pilot.
Please be creative.
Thanks
Dave

Looking for out of service main rotor blades for testing new rotor by
Wright1902Glider
Have you tried contacting one of the commercial companies like Petroleum
Helicopters or Air Logistics? Both of them are located in (or near) Lafayette,
LA. If the blades from a Bell 206 would be of use to you, they might be able
to help. Otherwise, you might also try Barnstormers.com...

set of old 269 helo blades. The helo blades are corroded on the tips. You

Had not heard of that. I'll give it a try, next time I am looking at the
groups that are only on Google. Thanks.

Lowest cost per mile flown motor- 2 stroke by
Bruce A. Frank
In theory the lead provides lubrication, but in application it causes
sticking and burned valves from un-even deposits on the sealing surfaces
of the valve and seat. Now if you have rotators on the valves there
might be a different story. With the materials used in valves and valve
seats, even ...

Lowrance 2000C vs. AvMap -- comments appreciated by
Thomas Borchert
Jim,
some things I think are missing from the AvMap which, I believe, the
2000c and the Garmin have:
- international database option
- land navigation with turn-by-turn voice instruction
- sea mode

Lycoming IO-360 issues by

Have you ever done an in-flight mag check? The folks at GAMI suggest
this all the time, as does John Deakin of Advanced Pilot Seminars.
If you have an engine management instrument like the JPI, EI or GEM
you can do this to check for a bad plug that wouldn't normally show
up. First you'll...

Marine Radio using Aviation Antennae by
Jim Weir
Will it work? Probably.
Will it work well? That depends on what "well" means.
Will it work at peak efficiency. No.
In all probability, your reception will probably be acceptable. The transmitter
protection circuitry may (high probability) prevent you from getting any decent
transmitter range.
