Possibly because things don't "show" well on radio? :-)

IMNSHO it's time we "got over" Viet Nam. Every Administration involved in
that fiasco from JFK on "screwed the pooch" multiple times. The military
services took years to recover, but that seems to have happened. Maybe it's
time for everybody else to realize "it's over." Not that we should forget
the lessons, but rather that we not be ruled by those lessons, only.

Kerry seems to have been an effective JO. That does not either qualify nor
disqualify him to be CinC. Bush seems to have been an effective Reservist.
Ditto re the CinC thing.

Worry a lot more about present postions than historical events.

OBNAVAIR: Had a lovely time in Reno last weekend with guys from VS-27 who
served '70-'73. Swapped lies (old and new). Drank too much (although I
note evening are ending earlier with more left overs than in our youth).
Toured Squaw Valley and Virginia City and the Lake Tahoe area (low water).
Saw one of those casino extravaganzas featuring lots of topless women doing
lots of athletic dancing. (Ho hum.) Lost $40 in the casino (took me almost
three hours to do it). And a good time was had by all!!!!!

Anybody hear anything about a RAFS/Stoof Stomp in P-cola in '05?
